Yeah I think it might. My partner's mother has untreated schizophrenia and she will often go on random rants about completely unrelated imaginary stuff and get really obnoxious about absolutely stupid stuff. Thankfully most of the time my partner and her dad know how to talk to her to get her to stop looping but it can get really scary sometimes. Why is it untreated, you ask? Because when they tried to treat it and got her into a hospital, she faked that she was fine just to get discharged and start being crazy again, which made it all much worse. I don't really agree, but I understand why my partner's dad decided to just try to live with her and manage her instead of forcing her into a hospital. I would have put her into a hospital, though. And yes, this elevator woman sounds similar to her, just a little more coherent (but not a lot). Definitely some level of psychosis involved.

She was using every excuse imaginable, also, didn't she say that she knows there are no cameras in that hallway because "Men keep knocking on her door" But she doesn't live on that floor, why would she be coming from the elevator if she did. She knows there aren't any cameras (from what I gathered.) She uses every excuse imaginable to not let the lady in the elevator, and every excuse to not just take the laundry out of the elevator like she seemingly intends to. Once other people arrive because of the commotion, she pleads her case and decides, instead of taking the laundry out, to go back up the elevator. All in all its very VERY suspicious behavior imo.

From what I can tell, she came down with the trash and the dog with the intention to take it out, and she doesn't want this lady to use the elevator because she doesn't want to wait for it to come back. @@TheNwr1 I think that's why this makes me both frustrated, sad and angry that people are so quick to judge like this. The amount of good lovely people that can end up like this is heart breaking. But the problem is, unless you have had someone in the family have some sort of mental illness like this, it's so hard to understand how it can make someone a completely different person. And those people that go "it's no excuse" just have no idea how delusions, paranoia, depression, schizophrenia - hell even Dementia & Alzheimer's can bring out this as well! - how this could affect how someone interacts with the world, people they know and see, and even hurt the people they care about the most... Which mostly comes from them being scared of everyone and everything around them. But yeah this person clearly needs help... Either they can't afford it, they don't know that they are ill, are in denial - it's a wonderful part of being delusional! - or have gone off their meds. 😫 Sigh people go on about it's ok to not be ok and mental health but when they come across someone actually affected most people look the other way, especially when it's really bad. Or refuse to believe it's a mental illness and would rather be angry that the person is like this and a jerk. Coz that makes them feel better - that they are getting mistreated. As soon as they admit it's a mental illness, then it becomes a "oh i can't be angry as that person needs help but can't get it. But it's not my problem".

Yeah, I would not be surprised if 1. This isn't the first time an issue like this has happened with the lady and the Elevator but no one had any real evidence to prove that it was her. 2. There were a flood of complaints or concerns about an elevator being down and looking back at security footage and they see this. In all reality, that bitch is in for a rude awakening one of these days with either getting evicted from the apartment complex for her behavior or if the apartment workers don't care, someone on the complex will do something about it. You can only act like a petty little brat for so long before someone feels the need to "correct" it on their own.

Man I spent 12 years in the Marine Infantry, was wounded, lost friends during several deployments, and I say that to say, I feel completely wrong when people find out my service and things I did because I was just doing a job like we all do everyday, I don't use my veteran discounts or my veteran day meals because I feel wrong for taking anything from anyone. To me, I was lucky enough to survive and come home when better men then me didn't get that opportunity, I made it home with all my limbs, may have a little limp and some scratches here and there but I am in good shape. Please don't judge all vets to be like her, less then 1% of the military actually see direct combat like I did, and it is usually that crowd acting loud and dickishly about their service, while guys like me just are happy and honestly sometimes I look around at where I am at in amazement because so many times over there, I never expected to ever be back home again. As a vet Please let me apologize for any situation some of you may encounter with vets like this, it makes me sick to my stomach the second I hear some one like this say "I am a veteran" why the hell would that matter you are no different then anyone else.

Please use your benefits not out of an act of pride or simply feeling bad. But because the government would rather you not exist so they don't have to honor your service. Exactly. I never liked the "be the bigger person". My mom said this about a man who beat me, even up until I was 22 year old woman lol. It does nothing but the opposite. It makes them think they can get away with anything and be even worse. "Being the bigger person" is just letting a person go without concequences and it hurts another person down the line. Sometimes, yes. Here, I'm not so sure. The person in the elevator is not going to come to any magical self-perceptive conclusion from this argument. No no no. This has nothing to do with Karen’s enlightenment and while this encounter is unlikely to cause any personal growth, eviction based on collected evidence may well provide her with a life event worthy of retrospection. I did a search for an update and found the apartment complex had informed the videographer that this was not the first time Karen had caused a disturbance. By not “being the bigger person” further evidence was gained and a verifiable encounter was brought to complex management’s attention. As to the antagonizer in this situation… I am gonna try to refrain from insulting you as I assume you missed the part where Karen waddled up to the young black lady filming and said “We doing this?” And apparently tried to instigate a physical confrontation. That is way more antagonistic than literally any act the videographer took. Most importantly, by walking away she would have given Karen a “win” and further encouraged such behavior. But in this instance it seems Karen abandoned her mission, spent an inordinate amount of time on her “broken” foot, and chose to return to her unit with the trash she was apparently trying to take out while the lady filming presumably got to use the elevator in short order now that Karen has abandoned her post. That’s all “W”s for the lady filming.
