Oh my God... This is the most magnificent chant on Earth. O Virgin Mary, sweet Mother and humble Servant of the Lord, we all pray you. Look after us, like you looked after your Son, Jesus-Christ, the fruit of your womb, our Savior. Show him to us, after this long exile. You are the Queen of Heavens. May you hear our prayers, o sweet and delicate Mother, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

In case you are more interested in a word to word tranlsation: (old german words translated by meaning) Ave Maria! Virgin mild, Listen to a maiden pleading, From this rock rigid and wild May my prayer be blown to you. We'll sleep safe until morning, Regardless how cruel people are, O maiden, see the maiden's sorrows, O mother, hear a praying child! Ave Maria! Ave Maria! Immaculate! When we sink onto this rock To sleep, and your protection covers us Then the hard rock will seem soft to us. You smile, rose scents blow, in this dull chasm of rock. O mother, hear the pleading of the child, O maiden, a maiden is calling! Ave Maria! Ave Maria! Pure Maid! Demons of earth and air, chased away from your eye's grace, They can't live here with us. We want to quietly bow to fate Because your holy solace is blown upon us; To the maiden we want to gainly bow To the child, which's pleading for the father. Ave Maria!

Not one single language would feel compelled to side with the "feel good" narrative of a dolt with simpleton statements like "A Mother's love for her child is beautiful in any language." (They can be different, depending on the culture and language. That is what is meant by being human.).... Or by stating "Every Human Being, Feels inside exactly the same emotions..." (??) LOL. You make it sound that humans should be robots...and should have the same feelings and emotions. SMH. FYI: Humans are not the same. Humans don't think the same, act and feel the same...even if they belong to the same cultural level since they do have different understanding and IQ level, feelings, upbringing and language. That's what makes humans...human. And that you feel compelled to make me want to feel like everybody else just because I preferred to hear the song and melody in German? You sound like a retarded brain-washed liberal. And all that narrative and dictatorial ATTEMPT in a holier-than-thou justification in a dreadfully awful 3rd grade grammar just because I voiced an opinion? @Skoomajunkie1 The subtitles are not literal translation from German but the original words of Sir Walter Scott. Tthe German words in themselves come from Adam Storck's translation of "Lady of the Lake" by the Scottish poet Sir Walter Scott. So instead of translating the German words which in themselves were translation, the uploader here used the original English words. It may not be literal, but more poetic, and it better reflects that lyrics came from Lady of the Lake.

lyricstranslate.com/en/ellens-dritter-gesang-ave-maria-ellens-third-song-ave-mar%C3%ADa.html#ixzz4zQrHdUZU Hail, Mary! Meek maiden. Heed the supplications of a maiden. From this bare, savage rocks my prayers will drift towards you. We sleep safely until morning though men are yet so barbaric. Oh Maiden, see the strife of a maiden! Oh mother, hear a pleading child! Hail, Mary! Hail, Mary! Untarnished! When from this crag we drift away towards sleep, and your mantle protects us the hard rocks will seem soft to us. You laugh, and a scent of roses floats over this airless abyss. Oh mother, hear your children imploring you! Oh Maiden, call in another maiden! Hail Mary! Hail Mary! Pristine servant! The demons of the air and earth are haunted by the glory in your eyes. They cannot live here with us. Yet, we still seek to turn fate and turn your holy solace against you. The Maiden will intercede in favor of the child that implores to his Father. Hail, Mary!

Why so little said of the Mother of Christ? I love studying with JW and have considered joining them but have never been a joiner but love studying the bible, yet they do not state that Mary has any place in their religion. It seems pretty big that the woman who carried Christ in her womb and gave him her DNA, one would presume or not, and raised him from birth, suckling him and giving him love and protection for his whole childhood is so little discussed even in the bible. There are many sections of the bible that have been removed and we will never get to read. I wonder if it is discussed in detail his childhood and his mortal mother. She lies in a grave in some unknown place and not given thanks is a sad story of the huge part she played in His life on earth. Raised Catholic and parochial school the bible rarely referenced, no bible study classes, and women seem to be downplayed in their hierarchy. Are women kept down for some reason and the reason she is not given the adoration she deserves? Listening to several operas of vocalist singing this song in different languages and makes me mourn for her. Is this a reflection of the poor attitude toward women, that we do not praise the one woman who played such a big part of his life?

Perhaps consider Catholicism, they honour the mother Mary and hold her very dear.
