@@SibArtMedia Thank you.

There's nothing better than a drink of cold water from a mountain stream. It reminds me of when I was young, my family went to the mountains in the Sequoias every summer. We would hike in and spend a week or two. No filters, no boiling, just straight from the streams! Talk about refreshing.

Such a AMAZING place near Lake Baikal ❤ Thank you for sharing this video. I really needed to see this today. You know why from the message I sent on Telegram. The water there is ALIVE. I don't know how else to explain what I saw when the camera was in the water. Not contaminated by humans. Not touched. The country needs to protect this place. For future generations. I was almost in tears seeing that. I'm Native American in a Recognized large tribe, so I'm naturally close to the wildlife and nature. My lake I visit here for my runs and workouts is Caesars Creek Lake. I ❤ the woods and the nature I'm surrounded by there. It is definitely a peaceful place. I'm glad you are well. In my area I can find some springs coming right out of the rock/soil on a hillside or mountainous area - it's nice how accessible it is though on that trail for anyone to fill up their vessels with the spring water. The trail they are building is really nice high quality boardwalk, there are some here in New York State usually in the swampy parts close to the Appalachian Trial (it runs from Maine to Georgia). Our fall leaves are maybe a few weeks behind you, they're usually down by November. I hope one day to visit Baikal, I was curious about it since I first saw this huge inland lake on the map as a kid. It makes sense that it is a sacred place for so many people.

Your local nature is so beautiful. This Soviet memorial is dedicated to the fallen soldiers of the Communist Red Army who died in the Civil War. The Civil War in Russia was in 1917-1922. It seems to me that Ksenia used the word "director" (of school) instead of "principal". Russia was in WW1 - 1914-1917. They entered because Serbia (an ally) was attacked. They withdrew in 1917 because of the Bolsheviks took power in 1917 and they had their own plans (the Revolution/Civil War). The title of the Slyudanka monument reads, "To those who fell for the Soviets." You see a lot of these monuments in small towns that are in memory of residents who perished during a war. Almost all of the ones I've seen are for those who perished during the Great Patriotic War. I'd say the majority of Americans don't know that the Allies (the USSR was an American ally then) don't win the war without the Soviet's sacrifices on the Eastern Front. This allowed America to focus primarily on the war in the Pacific. May 9 was my favorite holiday when I lived in Russia. Ok, not counting New Years Eve.))))))

The closer you get to clusters of people, the less clear (and less safe) you will find the water. Now they have people buying water in the stores. How long do you think it will be before they have them buying air in the stores? BTW: Great pictures. Thanks. I'm convinced people are good everywhere. Governments are not good... anywhere.

In a few years, Dan could be a very good candidate for mayor of Sludianka and then later on for a regional governor. You already love the area and care about it more than some Russians. ❤❤❤

If I ever had the chance to be mayor of this town it would be insane. But I don't think my Russian will ever be that good.

1917 the start of the Russian revolution. 1923 USSR. Lovely views of the hills, and the autumn colours are amazing. Walkways are a way of protecting the native Flaura & Fauna. That will be a brilliant path when they are finished. Greetings to you both from Australia, Take care, stay safe.

It's such a beautiful place. I have to say I'm so happy to see a pothole. Makes me feel at home. I thought that Russia has no potholes at all,( stupid right). If I could I would love to live in sludanka. Have no idea how to spell it, sorry 😔.
Beautiful scenery all around. Are there many bears in that area? Thanks 👍.

the bears are further north around the lake they follow the prey. The same goes for wolves they find wild prey.
