You might want to watch Chickanic's review of that canned premix fuel. I am with her. I mix my own fuel with non alcohol fuel. Alcohol is for drinking, not engines. I don't have a Stihl but I enjoyed and liked (thumbs up) your content.

I watched her video. That’s one persons Opinion. I have used the stuff For decades with no ill effects and recommend it. Go watch taryl fixes all review on it. It blew all the other brands out the water

@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 Chickanic has posted an updated test to the original video. She did another test of the canned fuel: kzitem.info/news/bejne/1atuvHV3ZqpiqZg Not trying to argue with you, I only found the timing was quite on time for her to retest the canned premix fuel. TheMowerMedic1 and Chickanic are my go to guys for small engine expertise. I really like your content.

I wanted to thank you very much for this video. I was having trouble starting and keeping my fs45 running. I've owned the machine for years. About 3-4 years ago, I put in a replacement carb. It ran decent. Well, at the start of the season, I couldnt start it. So, I took the carb apart and cleaned most everything. Reassembled and it fired but it wouldnt stay running. I tried the idle and throttle settings with no success. I went online and was going to order a new carb kit, which came with new. fuel lines. I couldn't remember how to replace the fuel lines, so I found your video. I noticed how you explained how to routenthe one fuel line so I went out and checked. Sure enough, it was wrong. Corrected it and it fired right up, and ran perfectly. No new carb needed!!

Still had issues starting and running on my FS trimmer. I think the issue was in the fuel line. Maybe a hole or something, because it would fire and stall after primer gas ran out. I went to Amazon and found a Huztl carb kit for just $13, included a carb, fuel line, filters (air and fuel), spark plug , gaskets. Installed everything except the spark plug, since I have a nice NKG, and she fire right up, and ran perfectly! Also, dont forget to remove.the spark arrestor screen and bolt, and use a propane tank nor torch to burn away any carbon or oil on tje screen

If you’ll leave the carburetor about halfway down the threading posts with the carb tilted a little forward, push the throttle on the carb itself down a little bit, that cable will slide on with ease. No need for needle nose. Just a tip. Great video

I really enjoy your videos. Great job. Let me ask a question, should a person run a weed trimmer or a riding lawnmower till it want go anymore, or should you sale it after a few years when you can still get good money for it and buy new ones ? I guess it depends on if you can afford to buy new and sale the couple year old equipment. What’s your opinion on when you should replace your equipment Thanks

How about someone like me that is not mechanical and physically able to work on a mower or trimmer. I have to take it to a local shop and they really over charge for everything they do. I feel like I just bought a new one every time I take them into the shop.
@JohnSmith-yv6eq

@@ToyotaTacoma1952 What does the shop say they do each time you have the mower or trimer "overhauled"? It should be written on the invoice for work completed. If it says "Replaced spark plug and air filter"..well you can do that too. If both machines work a couple of years/5 years between services at the shop....you are doing well... keeping the fuel clean and fresh is the prime thing you have control over even if you can do nothing else...

got a 56 that keeps dying whenever I give it throttle and the air filter isn't clogged so I'm guessing I need to either replace or clear out my fuel line? I wonder if the line is being pinched like he said and the bulb isn't able to clear it... need to get that sucker opened up now! thanks!
