The idea of confronting someone about their weight changes seems to be rooted deep in the Taiwanese culture. Being an Asian country that has a tendency to shy away from emotional confrontations, this sounds contradicting. Moving back from Canada to Taiwan, this is a painful notion I had to get used to as I've been told numerous times of my weight gain. However, this repeated process had also made me more aware and determined to exercise on a daily basis.
