This GS checks off all the boxes for my dream EDC piece. ✅ Super accurate Spring Drive ✅ Chronograph ✅ GMT function great for travel ✅Rugged looks with a stunning silvery-white dial (my personal favorite on a watch) What’s not more to love? This is a tremendous value.

Have owned this watch for three months and it is receiving a lot of wrist time. The finish is fantastic and accuracy above all my others in my collection. I have no issues with pushers on my 7" wrist. Lone area I would like to have added is a micro adjustment such as IWC has on their Ingenieur bracelet. Great Watch.

I set my watches by an Atomic clock. I put my GMT Chronograph on last Saturday before being away and readjusting for Daylight Savings and two time zone changes and checking now 7 days later is spot on.... just unbelievable and I keep the Chronograph running constantly.

2:53 You should have said at this point: no battery. People hear "quartz" and assume this is just a regular quartz watch.

I have the Jade Dragon SBGC207 which comes in a one of a kind croc strap made to last forever, it seems. It looks more rugged everyday with seasoning. I will compare it with my Daytona 116503 for a point blank value proposition. If you have both, start by feeling your finger over the crown, the guard, and the pushers, then the edges. Now, you can feel the difference between a handmade watch and a machine made watch. The Daytona +30 sec per month is the most accurate of my Rolex. The Dragon hardly moved a sec over a month. Don't say it's not mechanical. It has a 50 jewels 415 parts movement and it's 1/3th the price of the Daytona.

@@OBWAT No, the movement is smooth: the spring drive mechanism does not have escapement or balance wheel. It features a _continuously unwinding_ spring with a sort of "thumb" pushing slightly down on igt to provide just enough friction to prevent the unwinding from happening all at once. It's a bit like pinching the tape measure slightly with your fingers while retracting it so it doesn't go in too violently. There are videos on YT showing the spring drive second hand in slow motion and it's completely smooth.

Why do reviewers keep saying the spring drive has a vary high frequency that would indicate it had a reciprocating movement like a balance wheel or pendulum it doesn't it has a continuous rotation that may be slowed slightly but never stops.

If GS could make their chronos smaller at 40MM maximum 42MM. I would buy this.

As someone who is an AD for GS, you should actually learn about how the spring drive movement works. Watch Tim from Watchbox. His review is one of the best and accurate review and description of this watch. I own the SBGC203. I’ve owned every higher end Swiss brand over the years and the quality and craftsmanship of GS is superior to all of them. Make no mistake, this is a true mechanical movement with a brilliant piece of tech to regulate the escape of power from the main spring resulting in an incredibly accurate watch.
