VitoAB Correct! I think it may possibly be the best performance in his career, although there were so many brilliant roles. Sometimes a film is heightened by the cinema and one's company. I saw this at the Hampstead Everyman cinema in London decades ago when it was a wonderful old fleapit, before it got fancy and pricey with good friends. Just down the road I used to see Alan Bates (shown here) at the Coffee Cup cafe and he always seemed to look miserable. Hay ho.
