I am surprised you did not mention the Empress Hotel. A Night staff I know swears it haunted and says all the night staff have experienced strange things while working

I lived on the island for a year a few years back and I’ve never felt so watched in my life. Walking home from work at night was always a trip, with no one around you always sensed someone or something had it’s eyes on you. Never felt that way anywhere else other than Victoria.

I used to live in Victoria and worked for the newspaper there. We use to print a story about if you go to Shellbourne street on a certain date around Halloween, you will time travel to the 19th century. Update: You have to travel down Shellbourne street between 2:00 am and 3:00am in October. Apparently it doesn't matter if you are walking or driving. And you will see people you know who are dead.

Apparently it was a murder-suicide - a woman just separated from her husband, and she was found strangled and without her shoes in the bushes near the 7th tee... And a couple of days later, they found the husband's drowned body near the 9th tee with her shoes in his pockets.

@@SoulmatesBroadcast She has apparently shown herself plenty of times over the years to people walking in that area. Usually at night as there is a main but very quiet road bordering the coast which goes right through that same location. Visual sightings as well as people seeing her follow them and even being touched by her. Often it’s couples or a single person who she materializes to. Many reports of this in our city.

We took a Haunted Victoria walking tour after dark. Roger’s Chocolate their original store was one of them. Flying egg creams! Lots of incredible stories, especially about the connection between Empress location and Chetzamoka park hanging in Port Townsend before 1800. It seems the more tragic the story the more likely the intense haunting 🤷🏼♀️

It was built by Robert Dunsmuir, a coal baron. They owned the entire hill the house is on. Over the years the children of the patriarch sold off the land and the grandchildren pissed the money away. There was a book written on this family by Terry Reksten called The Dunsmuir Saga and how within two generations, a family fortune and legacy was no more.

You can probably toss a coin and have a 50/50 chance of pointing to a ghost haunted building in metro Greater Victoria? I like the spooky creepy ghost music for this video. I did not know the Saint Ann's Academy architect was probably a serial killer. Victoria has some dark history.

@@SoulmatesBroadcast Oh yeah. I did know that Rattenbury, the architect of the Empress Hotel, the BC Legislature, and other buildings, was murdered in the UK by his cheating wife and her lover, his chauffeur. I agree Craigdorrach castle is very haunted..my ex-wife and I were visiting in May of 2012. I joked before entering the building we would take a picture of a ghost..within ten minutes both our brand new cameras stopped working. We went to the gift store bought new batteries and it still would not work. After an hour of leaving the place both cameras were working again..so a very haunted building..i would love to do an evp there..
