@Zunigafeid no problem! They’re pretty nerdy and niche topics that most people won’t watch but super important

@@BrendonKPadjasek as a beginner it helps! Could you maybe also teach about how to make guitars sound thicker and why it might be the reason it might sound thin or weak!

dude this is probably the best mixing tutorial ever 😭 you very clearly show us the issue and then the exact process on how to fix it thank you

Thank you so much. I tried to make such a strange and complicated process as easy to understand as possible

This is super useful and something I’ve absolutely neglected to consider in my mixes which explains many parts I’ve considered “hollow” feeling. Definitely going to use this - question though; is this process something you’d do for say every snare hit and automate as needed over the length of a track? Or just sync it up for a few hits and leave it on the inserts chain?

So glad it was useful. I used to find the exact same thing before I learned how large of a part this plays. Definitely don't need to automate it, unless the one of the mics on the drums moved over time from recording, but that rarely happens. Its usually a set and forget kind of thing once you have the tones you're looking for

This is awesome. I have an 8 inch sub for my stereo and I wanted to add a 12 as well so i could control my high bass better. I've been looking for a sub with a phase dial just for this reason. I wasn't sure really how to use it since i've only had phase switching in stuff like ableton. but even for mixing this has opened my eyes. I hate eqing and getting it to work just to sound like it's not good anymore. I"m going to start mixing like this.. This makes everyting make a million times more sense... Thanks man.

No problem at all my friend! Yeah it’s unfortunate but anytime there’s more that one source of anything, it helps make the sound more full, but also introduces more phase issues. Always important to keep it in mind when mixing I also want to get a sub for my room

@@BrendonKPadjasek I wonder if I flip phase on a sub to make it louder if it would be quieter for the person next door. or would the noise actually get cancelled out .

@jetset808 that’s a great question. I don’t believe that would work but it’s worth a try for sure

@@BrendonKPadjasekoh by the way: I loved your baking vocals on Northlane Live at roundhouse. good stuff. Sad they are not in the live mixes anymore.
