A few years ago, I watch and other tutoriel, from a guy that makes excellent videos about cubase midi modifier, but it was mostly about drum, nothing about transpose and the rest. Good but nothing as detail as your video. Once again, I learn something new. Thank you.

Here is one way I use these modifiers (you are welcome), when I have a drum track I use the snare that comes with the kit during the verse but during chorus I like to double the snare with some sort of electric snare to give punch, you need 2 midi or instrument tracks one for source and other for destination, in the original drum track I use midi modifiers as an insert in MIDI Send, then enable the destination and choose the second track that has the electric snare sound, under "range" I choose Note Filter and filter it to the note that triggers the snare on the source track (ie D2) both as min and max, every time the first track has D2 note it will be sent to the second track to trigger a snare that is assigned to D2. This way you can experiment which electric snare or even a sound effect suits the original snare is some parts of the song.

I saw this feature but had no idea how to use it. I struggle with Chord track “piano” parts being so predictable. I’ve pondered writing a script in the Logical Editor to humanize them but haven’t. I usually do manually in the Key Editor. This is way easier.

Hello from North West Arkansas home of the Razorbacks & Walmart. I'm trying to find some information / videos on creating a project with simple piano, pads, and drums that I can use in a live setting (Church Service) to use or not use live. Example my Drummer is not able to be at the service so I can mix the drums back in. We also use in ear clicks so I would need to split the click on a left channel setting by its self. Is this possible to do outside of another Cubase program at the live location? Thanks for your dedication to helping others learn about Cubase.

Hi Dom, does Cubase have a bass chords generator somewhere hidden? I know you hate " chords AI" scammers, but for beginners the bass line is the most difficult part, it tells the groove of the song. A little inspiration is a help, ( like the most hated one Bass Dragon ...) but are there any plugin inside cubase who can generate bass lines ? Thanks

Great video Dom. Forgive me if I've misunderstood but if, for instance, I randomize the notes using the midi modifier will it randomize at each pass of the midi part? If so how can I print a randomization I have just heard play through? Or once I've heard it is it lost and if I try to print it, as Dom shows, will it come out a different randomization?

Awesome video! Are the MIDI modifiers automatable? Also, when arranging virtual instrument parts, is it possible to just automate the MIDI Mute button (instead of having to manually split MIDI events and/or meticulously mute notation from the piano roll) like this kzitem.info/news/bejne/to6Hm4dtjmiHfW0 I know my current DAW doesn't offer MIDI Mute automation yet. I'm hoping Cubase does. I'm just hoping to find a DAW that offers more fluid MIDI editing options overall. It would be a huge time saver to be able to just automate everything and freeze the results once satisfied. If automation of the MIDI Mute button for VST Instrument Tracks is not yet automatable, but yet something that will be added in a future update, please let me know. I'll be more than happy to crossgrade!

Who is using Cubase anymore ? It´s core is old like a stone, unflexible, overfrigted with functions nobody wanted or needs and steels away performance from your PC with it´s overcomplicated copy protection. Bitwig is blowing Cubase out the water effortless and is cheaper.
@homo192
Жыл бұрын
It might be shocking to you, but there are many people out there using Cubase, and for reasons. Cubase is quite right for me, because I'm familiar with the workflow I grew into over many years and I really love all these neat functions you assumingly never wanted (or lack the imagination to find useful). Bitwig, on the other hand, brings features that I don't need or miss (e.g. if I want to go modular, I use my modular - but that's just me). Also, I don't encounter any performance issues within my system using Cubase. And what in general is wrong about an stone-old core? Being old is not an disadvantage per se, so that's not exactly a point.
@markushavers2283
Жыл бұрын
@@homo192 I can understand that people that used cubase for a long time already will use it no matter what. And for Bitwigs modular design : it is not only for sound generation, Bitwig is modular in every aspect. And for the performance of cubase : There is a cracked version around where the dongle protection is removed and this alone makes Cubase 20% faster in loading times and overall performance.
