.y list is pretty well matched with the cars featured in this video. I started out wanting a Hyundai Santa Cruz...but honestly had difficulty with the dealership....it seemed they didn't really want to sell the one on the lot....and especially not to me. I am in Northern MAINE.... SO: YES...I DID CONSIDER TRYING TO GET ONE IN CANADA if that was possible (or even adviseable). I had researched vehicles for months...and l really thought the Santa Cruze was going to be perfect for me....but the dynamics in the showroom were just plain WEIRD!!! I THEN MOVED ON TO 2 CARS I had. Also considered been considering....and several were actually right here in this video: MAZDA HATCHBACK... BUT NOT NECESSARILY AN SUV. THE MAZDA 3 OR A SIMILAR CHOICE MIGHT WORK WELL.....((( BUT I AM NOT INTERESTED AT ALL IN A WHITE INTERIOR (DOG LOVER AND GRANDCHILDREN HERE.)......WTF MAZDA???? WHITE INTERIOR IS A DEAL-BREAKER!!!! I RECENTLY LEARNED SAAB WAS STARTING TO BUILD CARS AGAIN....WOULD BE GREAT TO GET MY BEAUTIFUL RED 2003 CONVERTIBLE ON THE ROAD....BUT YOU MAY be aware of what happened to us Saab lovers during the hideous GM HOSTILE TAKE-OVER....CAN'T EVEN GET PARTS GM KEPT THE PATENTS'!!! MY BEAUTIFUL LAWN ORNAMENT HAUNTS ME EVERY TIME I WALK PAST IT.....ITS BEEN 10 YEARS NOW. EVERY NOW AND THEN I BUMP INTO OTHER SAAB DEVOTEES.....AND THERE IS CERTAINLY A LOT IN EUROPE IN THE SAME SUTUATION AS THOSE IN EUROPE. WHAT A HIDEOUS TAKE OVER......WITH NO REGARD FOR CUSTOMERS AND THE VIAB ILITY OF THE RXOENSIVE VEHICLES WE HAVE.. I'D BE INTERESTED IN WHST YOU MAY KNOW RELATED TO THIS SITUSTION. BACK TO THE PREVIOUS SUBJECT....I WAS INTERESTED IN THE IMPREZA....BUT THE 5 SPEED MANUAL STICK/CLUTCH TURBO HAS SPOILED ME....NOW A RETIRED NANA HOPING TO HAVE A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE WITH THE LAST CAR I WILL PROBABLY HAVE.. THE. SUBARU CROSSTREK WAS A CONTENDER....BUT NOW WE ARE HESRING THE HYBRID HEVS ARE ALL GOING TO THE WEST COAST....AND WITH LOTS OF LONG TRIPS ON I-95 THRU THE MAINE WOODS.....I REALLY WOULD LIKE AN ELE TRONIC CHARGE TO HELP DEAL WITH ALL THOSE DRIVES IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. DEFINITELY HAVE BEEN THINKING OF A HONDA CIVIC OR TOYOTA HATCH.... SO YOUR VIDEO I VIEWD TODAY SEEMED RELEV ANT. I KNOW THERE IS A LOT TO THINK ABOUT.....BUT IF YOU HAVE SOME TIME......I'D BE INTERESTED IN YOUR THOUGHTS. IF YOU HAVE A MAGIC WAND THAT MIGHT HELP ME OUT TOO!!! SORRY A OUT THE "CAPS ".....I HAVE TO USE A PHONE....SO CAPS DO SAVE TIME & VISION ISSUES. OOPS.....JUST SAW A NOTE THAT THE "BOLT" IS DICONTINUED? Everything is basic and easy for anyone to replace a bulb, wiper blades you get the idea. No need for a reader. No relays. No electronics. The Crosstrek is awful. Even with the 2.4 engine it's sluggish, the CVT is constantly growling and not very responsive, the Nav/Infotaintment is beyond awful. Sometimes it takes me INTO traffic instead of away, mislabeled streets, sluggish, there's no way to change the default driving mode or default driver or virtually any other default. Every time you turn the car off it's back to factory settings. Lane assist is more of a safety hazard than feature. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Auto stop works maybe half the time and there's no way to reprogram it.
