Back in 2019 when I went to buy my tv from Best Buy I wanted a tcl. However the guy that helped me showed me tvs I didn’t even want. He persuaded me to buy something I didn’t want. He right away showed me a Samsung and a Lg. I asked about the tcl and he said they won’t worth the time or money that they were too dark and ugly picture. He was doing everything he could to get me to buy either a Samsung or Lg. In the end I ended up getting a 55 inch LG Nano cell 4K tv. At the time I was happy with it. It was my first 4K TV and thought all 4K tvs were the same. Now 3 years later after research and knowing that all 4K TVs are not the same, I regret buying the tv. The next tv I buy I’m ordering it online and picking it up at the store. That way no one can talk me out of buying the tv I want.

Just bought the C1 last week and absolutely love it so far. Ended up buying it at Costco due to it coming with a free 5 year warranty. The first 2 years are with Costco and the remaining 3 are with Allstate. Typically the additional 3 years cost around $100 but the tv included an $100 rebate that covered the warranty. We also bought our last LG tv at Costco with the 5 year warranty and it stopped working after 5 years and 3 weeks. I swear they just know and send a self destruct signal to the tv.

Use to sell TVs in college. Definitely ask if they have a normal input signal vs the commercial showcase demo. I often switched our TVs to Directv and people were shocked how different the picture looked from Demos. Also ask to see if they will turn off TVs around the other TVs of the one you are considering. Just seeing one vs a dozen+ in your peripheral makes a huge difference. May save you $1k.

Probably could’ve played the panel lottery and found a clean one but didn’t feel like playing that game. Think I’ll just keep my 900h one more year and see what we get next year. If hisense can give us a dual cell with an acceptable response time and decent input lag, I’ll pick that up for sure.

They even had some non 4k tv show on the screen which made it seem worse. We bought a new 65 inch Samsung in 2015, not sure of the model but it was heavily pushed by Best Buy as the greatest TV on the market at the time. While the picture is good and the TV still works, it’s had many buggy problems throughout the years. Many apps weren’t supported within a couple of years, it randomly pops up messages, and at times has just gone black for many seconds at a time.

I'm blown away. This is my first 4K TV, but everything is as advertised. Took me a while to figure out how to hook it up to my receiver -- had to do the normal HDMI connection then an optical audio and that got it working. I can tell you I spent probably 4 months looking at everything -- I am not an LG or Samsung fan so didn't spend to much time looking at those, but I did compare picture quality and sure enough -- this U7G beats them all in my opinion. I'm not an expert -- but it works for us. Android is super fast so far too.

I would like to spread some enlightenment on why lg, sony and samsung have the biggest representation in best buy. Its as simple as they pay the company more money. In my best buy, lg paid 2 million dollars for that lg pad that was shown in the video. Best buy does not even pay for the power bill of that area, that area is connected to a separate power source than the store’s power source. Tcl hisense and vizio just dont pay best buy enough to have that kind of representation.

Best buy wont feature TVs like TCL and HISENSE on their box office placement. Brands like Samsung, LG and Sony makes them more money. As a salesman say you get 15 mins to sell one tv, you’re obviously gon try to sell a $2k tv rather than a $1k tv. I went to best buy about an year ago shortly after I ordered TCL R635, while my tv was in transit I went to BB to see how my tv gon look physically. Well, as soon as I asked a sales associate to show me a TCL tv he started a never ending rant against TCL. I came back and waited for my TV to arrive. A year later, here’s what Im gon say “TCL HAS MY BEST $1k purchase ever” never has been more satisfied with my everyday viewing and gaming. So yeah, s***w you best buy. I bought a Samsung Crystal UHD AU80000 and I'm not really satisfied with it; it's not bad but, it's not for me; it almost looks like my old 2012 LG, so it didn't ''wowed" me and I'm planning on returning it maybe exchange it for someting better. I also went to a Costco and to a Sam's the same day and didn't find nothing that caught my eye, maybe I'm going on a bad time. But about how different Best Buy is from a far time, it's really disappointing. Thanks for the video.

I got a 65" Hisense smart TV from Best Buy and returned it in a week. It kept buffering and when you turned it off the next time you used it, you had to reset the internet on it everytime

I totally agree with you 100%. Sony has one of the best picture on the market and that what made me buy a Sony KD 65X9300D it was very expensive but to my horror on the first night it developed a problem a line from the bottom was very thin about 10mm but then it started to spread upward to cover half of the screen. I took it back and they gave another TV but again after about 6 weeks the power unit stopped working so I asked for money back and got it but I looked around for another brand of TV to buy but nothing atv the time can close to sony picture so I ended up buy same model TV from another dealer. I do have some reservations about buying sony again.

Good idea doing most returned. Good to know. Remember though to be fair. Not everyone can afford the best and I'll tell you from experience that buying the most expensive isn't a guarantee. I've owned 5k tv's only to have them go out in a couple of years. 👍

After watching many of your reviews I decided to visit the local Best Buy to see a Hisense U8G in person. My experience was the same as yours; nothing more than the 6 models on display because no one would be forking out an extra 1K for a Sony or a Samsung if they saw the U8G next to them. Super happy with my purchase. Thanks for the hot tips!

The U8G is crazy cheap compared to other brands. But I was not impressed by it's performance. Picture, color contrast, focus/sharpness was no where near as good as the other brands hence the price tag

I've returned a Samsung and a Vizio in the last 20 years. Both hd TV's. Both swapped for Bravia's. A 09 kdl52z5100 and a 2020 x750h. The 09 isn't 4k but has native 240hz refresh rate. The much newer x750h is 4k but only a native 60hz! The '09 cost over 2k back in the day. Still looks great for movies. The newer, cheaper Sony looks better for games. I'm looking for something to superceded both tv's at the moment. Lookit at a 43 inch Sony x85k cause it's got vvr and 120hz. Under $700

I bought the Hisense 65 inch U6, mainly because of the 4 year guarantee, plus the picture quality was the same as the Samsung for me, which costed $200 more with 2 year guarantee.

My parents have an old 2014 Vizio I gave them old smart tv I think, I was thinking about getting them the Insignia N10 non smart 43, idk if it's decent super cheap, this vizi is still going strong, but I can tell it's getting a tad fuzzy with age.

The A6 is the hisense entry level. I have a U6g 50in for a bedroom TV, got it last weekend. Super solid for a bedroom TV imo. I have a 65inch a80j for my livingroom TV, and it's going back for the 65inch u8g. It's $800 cheaper and after picking up the u6g and seeing hisense put quality for a $400 TV I realized I slipped by spending 1800 on my livingroom TV. Going with what you've been recommending all along, u8g

@@riraider123 I ended up just exchanging the a80j for another a80j lol. They're bringing it tomorrow. I just got a bad panel. The bottom right corner was super dark on a light Grey screen. It didn't affect bright scenes at all though. Anyway I decided I had to stick with the a80

Add me to the list. Bought one at Costco. Spent two days getting the remote and options set up. Damn thing kept going on at will all during the day and night. Saved myself the $1700 for something really useful.

Would love to get your thoughts on the best 65" under $700 USD. I know I'm limiting myself and this won't get even close to the best thing out there but I just returned a LG UP7000 for a Sony X80J because of bad flashlighting. The Sony still has it, but much less noticable with improved color saturation over the LG.

Quantum TV, I know it's probably been asked of you, however, I must ask: Are you considering adding audio solutions to your channel? What I mean is home theater applications, speakers, receivers, pre/pros, amps etc?
