I had an Uncle that changed lightbulbs on those tall towers he is retired now. He told me he worked 10 days each year for 20 + years and made over $100,000 a year. to make $10,000 a day to change a lightbulb that is super high in the sky. I certainly wouldn't have had the courage to do that job.

@@Dogpool yeah he was. He told me that he worked a total of 3 days in 1996. He normally worked 9-10 days a year. The buildings tower antennas he'd climb would sometimes sway a good 20ft on a windy day.

Why is it "sad" to cut down an old tree to be used for a current need? You know what is really sad... When people think that every tree should be maintained as is. If the tree isn't re-planted, unless they are going to use the land for other purposes, then that could be seen as sadening.

The tree was so easy to cut down because it was old. It was dead or dying. See how it uprooted as if there were no roots? Its already decaying. Better to harvest it and get some good lumber than to just let it decay.
