Hmmm there are sneakers and running shoes. Two different worlds. Try to run with some Nike Air Max you'll see. It's not only a matter of price, it's also a matter of range. Asics, New Balance, Mizuno, Brooks, etc are specialized in running shoes. Nike have a dedicated "Nike Running" range. Asics produces also entry level $50 running shoes. The Kayano is the Rolls-Royce of Asics

Sure there are normal enthusiasts in forefoot strike hype community but for most of normal people sorry to say that, but you simply "don't want to be that guy" in vibram fivefingers constantly telling everyone how bad their running style is. Not saying forefoot strike is bad, theoretically, for a guy hunting somewhere on the african plains, but for 99% of people running 5+k on an asphalt road they will only bring struggle and zero benefit, or even they can put some people off from running.

Have had and worn the Gel-Kayano 25s for almost 4 years now, less for running but more as an everyday work sneaker. Even tho it has been worn down it is still one of my most comfortable sneakers I own. The Upper is great for wider fore-foot, has room for expansion/swelling when on your feet for a long time/running. Heel support is golden, no movement or any issues with blisters in the 4 years ive used them. I wish they would have stuck to this build instead of what they went with in the 28s and 29s. Both of which added some more padding in the tounge and heal but with said padding causes the side of your heal to rub up against the shoes irritating the skin.

let me tell the relation between me and asics , when I was young I used to play badminton a lot at my home grass which was soft , when I went to high school I started playing in indoor court and my play style changed and I started jumping a lot for the jump smash and all ,but during these days i stared experiencing knee pain which was mild when climbing stairs and all, at that time I used to where a normal sneaker which I thought was enough as i reached collage the knee pain became unbearable which made me almost quit playing , at that time one of my senior suggested asics at that time i didn't heard about the company and I thought to give it a try . the first shoes I bought was asics gel rocket 9 which I didn't like by the looks of it but it changed the entire badminton future , with in a month a whole pain went away , now last week i bought my 4th asics gel rocket , now they have the new 10 model , i would highly recommend for those experiencing knee pain just try it out , you will never go back

Technically heel striking is a result of putting shoes on feet in the first place, so they designed the shoe knowing that most people are going to heel strike. Asics gives you more shoe for you buck than Nike which gives you less and less shoe every year for more and more money. Currently the Nike's provide no ankle support, which Asics do a great job with.

A good shoe will protect your heel, but you shouldn't land with your heel when you run in the first place. Try this: run in place, landing on your toes with each step; now slowly lean forward and start moving very slowly in tiny steps, still landing with your toes on every step; gradually increase your speed until you are at running speed. This is a healthier way to run.

Why sanding stone? Why not 40 grit, thats better representation of asphalt/concetre, fortnine uses it for the helmets and showing abrasion resistance Other then that great video, lmao still preder my free runs though
