Such a mesmerizing tour of Mostar! The history and architecture are truly captivating, especially the iconic bridge. It's like stepping back in time while wandering those cobblestone streets. Thanks for showcasing these hidden gems and the delicious Bosnian cuisine! Can't wait to explore more through your videos.

Love the river scenery there - it's so beautiful, especially at the bridge area. Although a heavy topic, would definitely enjoy seeing the museum in person. So much yummy food there. That restaurant where you had dinner would be amazing in the nicer weather. Great comfort food for the cold weather.

The food in Bosnia is delicious 😋. Yeah I didn't want to start away from the topic. It seemed pertinent particularly now with all the chaos in the world to remind people, this can happen again. It wasn't just in WW2.

I hope you had a great time in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the country where I was born and where I still live. We are one of the poorer countries in Europe, but we have beautiful natural resources such as mountains, waterfalls, rivers... I hope there will be more reports from these areas of mine: Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia... I'm glad you got to know our region.

I've got a couple more stops in Croatia I filmed during this trip. Didn't make it to Serbia this time but I've been twice and have had a great time.

Yeah it's crazy the things that have happened in my lifetime that I may have been aware of but, was too young or too far removed to truly understand.

The buildings and bridge looks amazing. I see you enjoying the food again. The history as you give it , is always interesting. Any war always leaves much to recover from. Thanks for the interesting history and the sincerity in perspective of the war.

I wish I would’ve went to Bosnia when I was in Croatia and Montenegro. Wow jumping into the water from the bridge sounds interesting. I’m going to have to look up videos. And perfect time for beer! It’s 5 o clock somewhere lol!

A dark past, hopefully a bright future. I forgot they were still fighting up until 2000 - 01, I visited in 2004 so it was so close to the end of the war. sad to hear there are still palpable tensions but I am not surprised. I remember talking to some Bosnians in Sarajevo who said that if the UN left the war would be on again the second they did. The museum was not open. neither was the bridge to be fair. or much when I was there. it looks so COLD - your face goes red about halfway through from the freezing wind I am guessing. Believe it or not I was there during a heatwave where it was around 40 degrees (Celsius, that's like 110 or more Fahrenheit I think). Sarajevo is definitely worth a visit. looking fwd to seeing Split I have heard really good things about it. great vid Ben!

See I'm fascinated to hear about it only a few years after the make conflicts ended. I think Kaat told me she visited Dubrovnik while it was still under Yugoslavia rule. It's crazy how much has changed. The major part of the war ended in 1995 after the Dayton accords but, there were still armed conflicts in 99 and 00 mainly around the Kosovo region. To be fair I think that is still going on in a cold war fashion currently.
