I know micofiber cloths are beloved by so many, but I just gave up on mine and went back to cotton. I really don’t mind a little lint on our mirrors, cotton rags are better for the environment in many ways. Natural fiber rags were good enough for Buckingham Palace and all the great houses down thru history, I think they are good enough for our little house in California. I took some well-used and well-loved cotton tea towels and sewed them back-to-back with squares of stained terry cloth bath towels, and they clean super well. ✨ ✨

SAME, we're starting to see data that anything "microfiber" (cleaning cloths, sheets, clothing) deposits a lot of microplastic particles into the wastewater, which don't always get removed by water treatment plants, so those particles end up back in the water supply or in rivers and oceans ... and then end up being ingested by humans and fish. Not great. :( Same thing with my (BELOVED! they're so effective!) Magic Erasers / melamine sponges, so I'm trying to limit use of those whenever possible, too. (I don't know if the same thing is true about the tiny particles of quartz/silicates/etc used in things like Barkeeper's Friend, The Pink Stuff, Power Paste and similar.)

Thank you so very much for speaking out against clorine and sanitizing your home! It is really ridiculous, there will be no hazardous gems in your home! I never really got that idea of like pre-washing dishes for the dishwasher.. maybe for like really bad pots/pans but they're literally designed to wash your dishes.. it's in the name.. Wash them all in the dishwasher and if something still isn't clean then you know you need to wash it by hand. My mom would always wash everything before using the dishwasher then says how certain things won't come clean then I had to prove to her that it would come clean.. what's funny is she'll complain the whole time about having to wash the dishes.. she makes cleaning take far longer than it needs to then complains it takes too long lol As for sanitizing, there is reason to use chlorine and such to sanitize certain things for different reasons but yeah it's not needed for your every day cleaning. Your house doesn't need mopped every single day. It doesn't need swept every day. It doesn't need chlorine in the bathroom to clean it every day.. you're not going to suddenly drop dead from bacteria.. if anything you'll actually be much better off being around some bacteria.

Some viewers are determined to have Aurikatatriina as if she's dancing on hot coals, trying to please everyone! If she gets pushed too much, she might decide it's not worth the stress to film at all. Let her do what she does best and handle her business as she knows is best for her. Viewers dhould do what they do best, enjoy watching the videos and comment, without asking for more, less, different. And appreciate the opportunity Auri gives us. When Auri had longer videos, some viewers complained they were too long. Of course, it's easy for a viewer to pause a video and watch the rest of it at another time. Then Auri had shorter videos, and some viewers complained that they were too short. I think it's best to be satisfied and watch the videos ad they come. Auri can't post every day because it takes time to edit videos, even with the help she has. She has said she cleans 2 - 3 days a week. Cleaning as she does is hard work, though she enjoys it. She also has other responsibilities like editing videos, writing andcediting vouce overs, and then doing them, taking care of other business related tasks, and making sure she takes time to care for herself. Auri uses water because things need to be rinsed. When you clean, if you don't want to use water, you don't need to, and it's all good. Be plessed Aurikatatriina, the worlds best cleaner, films her cleaning. She gives us the thought that if we know someone who needs help, we can try to be like Auri.

Thank you for talking about sanitizing. I rarely sanitize inside my house except for the door knobs, my phone and tablet. Or common surfaces after I get sick. When I come home, the first thing I do is take off my shoes at the door and wash my hands. And of course after you use the restroom, you wash your hands. The best defense for spreading outside germs into your home is being mindful about stopping them from getting in. And you don’t need tons of products to clean your house either. I have a small bottle of bleach if I need it, but I only really use it with laundry. I have a couple specialty cleaning things like toilet bowl cleaner, a bathroom cleaner that helps with soap scum, a product for limescale, power paste, and window cleaner. But I clean most everything with multipurpose cleaner or soap and water. My gallon of Mr. Clean lasts for a long time!

@Eventide215

@@lonechristensen8824 That's the thing. Nobody here is saying to NEVER sanitize certain things. It's just you don't need to do it every day or every time you clean. The places she cleans obviously needs harsher stuff because she needs to cut through a lot of dirt and such quickly. The average house though should only need a quick rub down with like a wet cloth and a little dish soap.
@Eventide215
Ай бұрын
Yeah same, you don't need anything harsh except for rare occasions something happens. I rarely use bleach with laundry as I see no point.. all it really does is harm the fibers.. I'll use it only if like my whites are starting to get a bit dingy. Soap scum is usually easy to fight with just dish soap but if it's bad mix in some vinegar. Again, for limescale use vinegar as well. Power paste and window cleaner you can't go wrong with having. Like you said, I mostly use multipurpose cleaner though like Mr. Clean and it lasts for months.
@ajah2956

@@lonechristensen8824 Understandable, Auri enters homes that can be extreme and deep cleaning and sanitizing is really needed. People who don’t live in the best conditions should sanitize surfaces but it’s an uphill battle if the space stays the same. But for people who maintain their homes it doesn’t need to be done daily or excessively. Bacteria doesn’t cling to countertops and can be wiped away with simple products. Surfaces that are porous like cutting boards and so forth should be sanitized. But everyone cleans and maintains their home however they want. ☺️🙃🙂

Totally agree. For heavy inorganic stains, I think hydrochloric (the most common toilet cleaner) acid is best. I don't typically bother with weak acids.

I agree about not doing overkill on bathroom products. In my home I only use dishwashing liquid to clean.

Just curious! But why do all the beds you make up always have small mattresses and covers that don’t fit the bed properly? Like the duvet is small for those bed?

I think she keeps a supply in her car and may not have the exact size needed. What I don't understand is why there are so few layers. I thought Finland was colder than US and more blankets would be needed.

I agree with the harsh chemicals, but i think the worst is the oven cleaner you're using. Even the fume free is bad

Well, she quite often says you don't need it unless it looks like these kinds of surfaces so it's not hypocritical at all, which was kinda the point of everything she said re: harsh chemicals

For me it is of the utmost importance to use chlorine when cleaning the bathroom, I do think it's a place that has to be sanitized, but I always make a point of rinsing it off completely.

Snooze can mean a little sleep or a nap. When the alarm goes off in the morning, you can either turn it off or hit the snooze button so you can have a little sleep until it goes off again.

I'm glad to hear your take on how often to sanitize. I sanitize things like doorknobs, remotes, and light switches after someone has been sick. But I only use alcohol wipes. And I typically clean my floors with hot water and a microfiber mop. I do sanitize my counters after handling raw meat though.

if i can use dish soap i always do. i probably scrub my counters once a week because i dont feel like i get all the food off just wiping with a lysol wipe. i also love the way it shines✨ i try to avoid bleach unless im dealing with bathroom mold so i use a lot of pine sol on my floors.

‼‼‼Hi there! Just to mention too: it is very important that BLEACH is not mixed with ammonia. If you do so, then a chemical reaction starts and fumes come of the mix being REALLY, REALLY DANGEROUS! So, lads, do NOT do it!!! And stay safe!🙏

I appreciate you always doing this. These people need some mental support to address the bigger issues.
