So instead of shrinking in fear it happens to you, the people of her community need to not toss money at her but to slow life all the way down until she’s ready to get back to routine. It’s going to be hard because it’s now a new routine. And each step forward without her babies is going to need love and compassion. But communities don’t do that for each other any more. Everyone thinking their big saying they’d run in, let’s just take a minute to look at the circumstances. If the flames were engulfing her door it would most likely be all over the hallways too and if the flames were at her door when she realised imagine how much smoke she had been inhaling in at that time. If I’m not wrong most ppl don’t consciously die getting burned alive in house fires you were most likely dead or unconscious from smoke poisoning. So knowing this, enlighten me please. Tell me how she was supposed to run through her door and flame engulfed hallways to each room to get each kid. She’d get 1 kid then both go through the fire to the next then all 3 going through the fire to the next. All of you talking are saying you would have done the same for your daughter or son (singular) She’d be carrying 5 unconscious children. She would be lucky if she even made it out of her door considering how much she has already inhaled. She would have died before the second kid if she didn’t die before getting to the first kid. Ain’t no way she could round up all 5 passed out kids with her two hands and burned body and magically not get knocked out by the fumes. She had much better chances of getting her neighbors to have more hands on deck and alerting the fire dept. there would have been more ppl with proper gear to get in. Literally would be impossible for her to get all 5 of them out safely she had better chances of saving them getting help from her neighbors

People in the comments saying they can’t possibly imagine leaving their kids in a fire to get help and they would die trying to get them. Hind sight is 20/20 everyone is a superhero on high horses judging situations they have never experienced. Especially those who have never been a fire. You don’t know if the flames already barricaded her from leaving her bedroom, maybe the kids were in another section of the house. Maybe she thought that the decision she made would’ve saved her kids. People keep saying “if it was me I would’ve XYZ” News flash: if you aren’t the woman in this video, then this exact situation didn’t happen to you. Imagine losing all 5 of your babies and then having these would be super hero’s tell you they’re better parents because they would’ve done this, that, and the third about a scenario that they did not experience. I can not judge her at all. If you would’ve died trying to go back into a fire, that’s great on you for being an amazing saint. However, this poor woman has to live with this trauma of loosing her whole family. All this self righteous speculation is not necessary at all. It is very uncalled for, very insensitive, and very judgmental. Whomever is apart of this judgment/self righteous train, please stop and treat others who are grieving how you would like to be treated.

There is definitely something fishy. They determined the fire was caused by smoking on a mattress while on the floor. This woman has been arrested shortly after this for theft I think she was doing drugs which is how her house burned down! She is lucky they didnt charge her for murder.

@@candilease938 you have NO idea what I've been through. I CAN say what I would have done. Nothing about my comment said she was a bad person for jumping out and leaving the babies behind, I understand that there are several possibilities as to why they were left behind. Soooooooooooooo yeah........I woulda been tossing babies out the window like the belongings of an ex.

Whew, seeing her cry sent chills down my spine. I’m a mother to a 5 year old little man and I can’t imagine!

People have died refusing to leave their dogs or cats in burning houses, not once or twice, it’s pretty common. I’m not judging here as it’s not my place, but I will say the fact she left her 5 kids in there is a little suspicious.

The fact that this has happened twice in America...same number of children...almost same circumstances...to black women is so disheartening
