@@acason4 Also - “retouch?” I thought they were called overdubs. And they are common to almost every live album, because the bottom line is the band just doesn’t sound as good as you think that they do because you were excited, inebriated, and not always focused on the music. I have a soundboard of Def Leppard‘s performance in Denver that was later released as “in the round, in your face,” and the difference between the commercially released tracks and the raw live recording is stark. Nothing comes close to how much I admire everyone in this band. Mötley Crüe has to be one of musics biggest successes and here’s why, Mick Mars is one of the most underrated guitarists and still rocking on the stage to this day and over 70 years old! Nikki Sixx has gone through a pretty complicated life but still maintains a happy lifestyle and hasn’t touched a drug in 21 years and counting. Tommy Lee is so active with the crowd and you can’t tell he really appreciates what he’s doing and his passion for music. And still played the stadium tour after the doctors told him not to due to his back. And Vince Neil, as out of shape and bad as he sounds today, the fact that he is even committed to playing a show in his condition is great by itself. I was lucky enough to see these guys a couple weeks ago back in august and I thought everyone did pretty well for not playing a live show in 7 years. And another thing that goes uncredited, the songwriting. The Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars songwriting duo is up there with Lennon/McCartney in my opinion (proof: this song). A lot of bold statements were made here but hey, it’s my opinion and what I believe. Mötley Crüe will always rock for eternity, no matter what year it is.

Yes Vince sounds good here, so it shows he has the ability to sing like this every night! I love the Crue and I'm also a singer and understand the riggers of performing live! Vince is the voice of Motley! And would love for him for once to step up his game and kill it! The Carnival of sins tour was kind of an exception... His voice was much better than it had been in years! He must have put in some work and been much more disciplined than in the past! I love Vince and I know he's capable of so much more! He's the Voice of the Crue and sounds amazing on their albums!

One thing nobody of these vince's haters sees is that he tries to stay in tune in spite of his diction. Musically is more acceptable I think

I got to see them on the Carnival of Sins tour back in 2005. Vince's vocals sounded pretty good that night. I remember Tommy Lee with the "titty cam" 🤣 If you saw them on this tour then you know what I'm talking about.

amusing to see Vince attempting to play guitar. you have to ask yourself, how often does he actually practice the guitar? Motley fooled their fans for decades with all the pre-recorded tracks and pre-recorded vocals. Tommy was the only legit musician that played live the majority of the time

Vince fits this material, and it is not tough vocally, has to be his conditioning. He must feel terrible health and it is relaying to his vocal. Lazily phrased and rushing himself from running around the stage at 60. If he stood still and concentrated on the phrasing he would be back to this only does not need to as people still paying. Health ruined many a vocalist.

When they first came out I thought they were just an imitation of Kiss. But to my surprise they're of the best American rock bands.

Nikki sixx interview on Stern several years ago is highly entertaining. The guy literally wouldn't shower for months and the chicks couldn't have cared less. I should've been a rock star. He seems like a very down to earth guy though and donated the proceeds from the heroin diaries to a rehab facility. He's like the metal version of Roger Waters. Not a very good bass player but writes great songs.

Mine is Mick. Great musician, totally down to earth and a really tough guy, who is standing strong even with horrible health problems. Alltough, all four members are great.

The metal version of Roger Waters? No hate intended towards Crueor Nikki but that statement is totally crazy. Take two random songs written by each and compare the lyrics: fun and sex Vs complex social and psychological issues. You're talking apples to oranges, bro.
