Where on earth is the crowd? This is the premier motorcycle class in the US, at one of the most famous circuits in the world. Massively talented grid putting it all on the line for a handful of spectators. Why don’t Americans get behind motorcycle racing the same way they do for their other (arguably less exciting) sports?

WTF ??

There's a reason why MotoGP and WSBK doesn't race there anymore (other than money). It's because the track is unsafe for motorcycle racing. And I aint talkin about "bagger" racing, which, IMHO is not worth watching. There is no grass, no "pebble" run offs, just dirt and regular old American gravel. That had to hurt. Good thing MA only runs once a month, CB will have plenty of time to heal before the next round...which is where and when???

@@craigwilliams3721 Brainerd Minnesota, I think - another SHITHOLE poor excuse for a racetrack- it's basically a drag strip with a glorified return road - maybe if they're lucky, they'll get as little spectators as they had at Laguna which by the way was their WORST spectator turnout in over 20 years

Gagne, Baubier and Josh Herrin are the top three riders battling for this year's superbike title . gagne probably has the edge being he is on a familiar bike and cam and josh on new bikes and still probably still getting used to there bikes and every racetrack they go to not having data . That gagne has had from previous year. Good luck to all competitors this weekend for a safe race

This is the only “Moto” class where a Ducati isn’t always a winner, and a winner by far ,making the races boring ….well not boring but you know before the race starts the Ducati is gonna be in first unless there’s an unusual event …and unless that event crashes the Ducati he’ll still at the very least be on the podium if not back in first if a lot of laps are left ….. what’s the difference in MotoAmerica compared to the other “premiere class”(for lack of a better term I say premiere) leagues that make all the bikes in MotoAmerica have a chance at winning ? Where the rider is the main difference not the brand that makes Moto racing winners ….and it’s awesome! I’m starting to see there’s still different strengths and weaknesses for each brand but they equal out better here in Moto America … bravo MotoAmerica ,for making road racing competitive again ,for putting these races on KZitem quickly (& or live at times), and for doing it all at the highest level of quality… sorry for blathering on ,am a older biker who feels like a two time winner with fInding MotoAmerica … 1: MotoAmerica races are more easily available, with many divisions to follow .2: for setting it all up for true competitiveness between manufacturers and in doing so attracting great riders ….and bonus ,the coverage is top notch …….now that I can barely find MotoGP or wsbk races a week after the fact ,and in those leagues it’s the race for 2nd and 3rd to watch because Ducati is the guaranteed winner ….MotoAmerica gave me a true competition to watch and fully get into !

Though Gagne seems to be on another level , it seems more so only if he can get out front early ( which he seems able to do often lol) …it’s still not near as bad as the ducatis in the other leagues to me …maybe I’m in denial 😂

i think it has a lot to do with the fact that america as a whole is a "car" country... there are more and more bike riders every year, but as a general whole a lot of americans are scared of motorcycles... so even tho its a very exciting sport to watch, it would take a cultural change in the country to adopt more and more motorcycles for it to naturally switch to something people enjoy watching like nascar. I personally would love to attend one of these events but it would also take some traveling, time off work, and money spent i dont have the luxury to spend.. motorcycles as a whole are expensive, and participating in track days even more so... and then you gotta factor in the freedom to be able to follow it... its just expensive.. its a rich guys sport...

I'm glad these races are posted here, but wtf happened to this series!?! I was at Laguna Seca today after having missed it for the last several years (was an annual event suite ticket holder in the AMA, WSBK, and MotoGP years) and today felt more like a Harley rally than a road racing event. No Honda, no Kawasaki, no Suzuki and really limited Ducati and Yamaha vendor or racing presence. accessory vendor row was sparce, as well. The racing itself is cool, but this event used to be a NorCal mecca for sportbike riders and now it's just a sea of baggers in the pits and the parking lots. I'm not hating on Harleys, but there's already so many events for American Iron. Anyway, I was there an hour and after I saw the very few paddock and vendor areas that weren't bagger related I bailed and just watched the Superbike races from home. (Thank you for that!) Air-cooled "technology" just doesn't interest me. It's sad motorcycle racing in the US has lost its audience, at the highest levels it's so much more exciting than many other forms of motorsport.

Is it necessary to announce every sponsor every time they say the name of the track and bike and rider? Is that in a contract somewhere? It is extremely annoying. I don't need to hear it. And why did Escalante have to start from the back of the grid after the red flag? The announcers did not explain that at all. Just cuz he had a tire warmer issue? Once again, the announcers are HORRIBLE. Please replace them. And NOT with Roger Lee Hayden.
