Testing a Victrola 4 reproducer after rebuild and testing French HMV-1010 motor after cleaning and repacking the spring. This early 101 built for the French market is a work in progress, I needed to test it's freshly cleaned and adjusted motor before continuing the cleaning of the case. The Victrola No4 reproducer isn't staying with this machine, I have an appropriate HMV No4 that will be going on it. I always test the reproducers after I rebuild them but before I seal the needle bar to the mica diaphragm ( with beeswax) in case the mica isn't up to the job and I have to swap it out. This machine has it's original spring and it's still good and strong, spins right up to speed even after playing a record.
