Fun fact: Every year, out of the $1b prize pool in F1, 5%, so $50m is given to Ferrari for being a "historical team" no matter their championship position. They get 50 million for doing nothing.

I started out as a F1 diehard fan, slowly got in motogp as a backup category for those weekends with no F1. Now I can say that motogp is my most looked forward category. While I still love f1 and watch it every raceweek, Motogp is exactly what racing should be, lean, agile machines which make attacking and defending all about mastering crucial skills. The different riding styles/strengths is also amazing to see, while in F1 they are mostly minute. Moto2 and Moto3 are also every raceweek, while F2 and F3, which are great, are only for some tracks ...

@@F1geek The thing with them is that they are in a different class than lmp1. Porche, Ferrari, Peugeot, Cadillac, and Toyota make up the hypercar class of wec. It is replacing the lmp1 class as they believe lmp1 is on its way out while hypercar has more potential. I’m not certain though I think IMSA is doing the same, or moving towards it. I haven’t watched much of the IMSA despite it being amazing. I do plan on watching more soon since I am making racing edits to post on TikTok and Instagram/Facebook

MotoGP right now is like the 80's but without the two stroke. But still, the two stroke era is a monster in its own kind. It might be not as fast, but the abruptness of Power is something different than the 4 stroke era.

The current generation is going in the same direction that F1 is going. Boring races with a single manufacturer (Ducati) dominating the whole sport with the 8 bikes they field on the grid, and this is coming from a Ducati fan (me). They need to ban aero and hole-shot devices and lower the tyre performance ceiling. MotoGP fans aren't F1 fans, we want good racing, not a runaway championship.
