To answer the questions that you guys keep asking,
1.Clean the carbs however you like, that's not the important part. If you can wash a dinner plate, you can wash your carburetors.
2. Those little rubber plugs are there for a good reason and if you don't have them, buy a set. If you don’t plug those passageways, they will run richer as they will suck liquid fuel up the pilot jets. On these carbs the pilot jet is fed through another passage, and it’s fed mixed air/ fuel. If you don’t have them, try to find a set or make some from tire rubber. Don’t glue them as they are held in place by the float bowls.
