The perfect video. Elementary school I practice in has an incline and applying preload and keeping it constant in the upward turn has been a beast. Instruction is next level and intro music is solid. Ride-On, Ride-On!!!

I've been riding only about 2.9 years. Cautious, careful. My first drop was around 2.4 years into it, a slow u-turn on a hill. My second drop was "considering" a U-turn and I was indecisive and dropped it. I hate this topic! Ha!

when stopping sideways on a steep hill or ramp, I keep the kickstand facing the upper side of the hill, otherwise the bike will lean too much and I wont be able to strech my left leg enough to put the bike straight. even turning the hadlebars all the way to the right.

I bought a brand new Road glide and thought I knew how to ride in-till I started watching you.I am so happy I subscribed to your channel I did not realize how slow speed skill was better to have vs speed which u need both but u make it clear that slow speed is very important.I could go on.Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.Lord behold I can do a U-Turn since I watched you and the friction zone is my friend.Keep It loaded!

Great video, Robert. I also watched a video a while back on the LAPD motor school. They have their motor school trainees do cone patterns on steep inclines in a canal, so you're right, the rules don't change. Thanks again.

That was a great video. I listened to and watched it this morning. It really helped out a lot, especially when you stopped sideways on that slope. When we did our coastal trip, there was a section (one of several) of road construction. It was on a nasty lean and curve to my left. So, the high side was on my right and the oncoming lane and low side was to my left. (2-lane road) We stopped. I had my left foot down, right foot on the rear brake. After stopping, my bike began to lean left towards the downhill side. I tried to put my right foot down to help counter balance the bike to the right, but then didn't grab the front brake quick enough. The bike continued to fall over and down the hill I went, rolling over in to the oncoming lane...thank goodness oncoming traffic hadn't moved yet. It took my husband, myself and 3 road workers to lift my bike back up since it essentially rolled upside down and was loaded with all of our vacation gear. I often think of that moment as a flash nightmare and wish that I had my camera going so that I could have analyzed it.

I’ve noticed your brakes often squeak. I’ve had this issue as well. Is this a pretty common byproduct of slow speed practice? Do you do anything about it or just let it be?

Great channel ROB alot of gd info thx i actually wanna take one of ur training courses as i could use some slow speed training however I have a couple questions slow speed maneuvers doesn't the clutch and rear brake take a beating? Also with leaning an exhaust scraping isn't this a negative to the bike instead of a positive as for me i don't wanna damage my pipes Clutch or brakes or are they gonna get damaged ?? Thx ROB !!!!
