Interesting indeed! -- HONDA -- Our Honda has the same engine and on long drives, say down to Florida at the same speed, we get the misfire rough engine. Turned out to be cylinder 3. It is a well known issue and there was a recall to fix it. Just change that spark plug and all will be good until it happens again a few years later. Cylinder 3 is the one that turns off to save fuel or something. The recall should have fixed it. But a software flash should deactivate the cylinder deactivation and avoid the whole issue - Thanks stupid EPA for forcing this junk on us.

Loved this video. Will replay it for the hubby. In mid Sept. we were on a 5 wk road trip from Castaic Calif. to the Great Lakes area, Chicago and Dubuque, Iowa. We ended up in your neck of the woods when we were sent to Fond-du-Lac to have our cracked over-the-cab bunk windshield replaced in our Entegra Esteem. Top notch company. They allowed us to spend the night in their parking lot so the new window seals had a full 24 hours to cure. Sometimes we just have to roll with the punches and do what need to be done to keep our “Magic Carpets” healthy and running. Hope to cross paths on the road someday. Safe travels.

TAG AXEL brakes - -This is fascinating. We were looking for a Beaver and now Country Coach circa 2006-07. One issue is the drum brakes.. My neighbor said we can swap out drums for disc brakes but we can't find anything on that, other than for trailers. Two questions.. 1) are you aware of anyone doing this on a Class A, and 2) is it worth doing in your opinion?

I now have my rig parked in AZ for 6 months. Do I need to plan to move it or is it ok to leave the entire time?
@OurJourneyInMyles
11 ай бұрын
I would have to say I am not qualified to say for certain. Every model RV has its quirks. We almost went 5 months. We were on our jacks. It is such a pain to move just to say you did. One thing about going for a 20 mile ride, is it would increase your odds things would work in 3 months, if after the first 3 months you did a test move. I would make sure to have tire covers on when in AZ sun that long. We have great ones in our "Tire Safety Equipment" section of our Amazon Store.
@martysmith-BonneyLake

I do have the tire covers you speak of. I’m not really worried about the batteries and so on but I am thinking of the tires and flat spots? Maybe not much to worry about? Thanks
@OurJourneyInMyles

@@martysmith-BonneyLake I am at NIRVC-Atlanta right now. A set of 365 width tires were just taken off a coach for flat spots. Don't know how they got them,.....but that proves it is a real thing that can happen. I guess the smart thing to do would be to reposition it midway through.
