I've started with the 36 and am going to a 40 for a little more low end. On my bike, starting off with a 36 is like starting off in 4th gear. It jumps and jerks until it's up to 15 or so. I'll sacrifice a little speed for a little more low end power.

@Eric I usually help on take offs till about 8 or 9 mph but generally speaking both of my bikes work really well with the 36t even pulling up hills they rarely need help from the rider. Thanks for watching sir

Lowering the rpm at higher speed is a great point I don't hear often good stuff 👍

Your sprocket size depends where you. I live in Muskegon now and a 36 would be fine. However in a city like Gr or Cincinnati it wouldn't make it up alot of the hills. In a hilly city a 55 tooth work well. 25 on flat and 25 going up most hills

@brittanypaggeot9272 I have been riding country roads for 4 yrs with flats and hills.the 36 does fine although it needs help on longer hills,i don't like to run the bigger sprockets cause the high rpm at normal cruising speeds(20-25mph) the 36 keeps the rpm down at those speeds keeping the engine cooler during rides also extending the overall engine life...thanks for the input though

Nice if you still got hills you don't like maybe try a 40t I'm loving the mix of torque and speed with mine 😀

so should i leave it the stock sprocket or should i use my 36t sprocket? can you tell me the advantages of the 366t sprocket
@glenssmallenginecreations
5 ай бұрын
@blitzoce7939 the advantages of a 36t are a higher top speed and the engine will have a lower rpm at regular cruising speed which means lower engine temp extending the life of your engine.
