I remember the original Mountain Dew commercials, my dad loved them! What a sad story of this family, so many deaths in such a short amount of time! And poor Ally, killed by a train! They made a wonderful product, though!💖

My Mountain Dew bottle says - Filled By Herb And Ruby. It’s one of my favourites in my collection alongside my Kisk bottle I found while fishing .

Not quite sure the year my dad gave me my first dew, but I was hooked especially since a corner store was across the street . I was born in 1961 so around 8- 10 yr's of age most likely. Along with it a beef jerky or a mallo cup lol ! A couple of old bottles here also. Thanks for sharing

It'll tickle yore innards is found on Mountain dew Bottles as early as 1951. The Barney and Ally Bottles "Clear and Green" and all the Tri-City Bottles from Johnson City, Tenn. 1954 through at least 1958 and probably until Pepsi bought them around 1964.

Interesting. I couldnt find any examples or any site that knew. I ran across an appraising site that said the only year that logo was printed on the bottle was 1965. So thats all the info i had to go on. So thats really cool if thats the case!

I still have the plastic bottle of Mountain Dew from 2008 (back when it hadn't yet been shortened to "Mtn" instead) that was in my brother's school backpack when he died. He would drink those things like it was water. I don't think it was ever opened, but it's collapsing in on itself, as if it had been opened and squeezed. Probably something about how carbonated soda ages in a plastic bottle like that. Kinda cool

Aww, sorry to hear about your brother. Sounds like he was far too young. Yeah honestly, i dunno how plastic bottles are supposed to hold up over time. That makes sense though, that it might collapse in on itself, since it is not strong like glass. Interesting.

Mountain Dew had a throwback flavor 2015 - 2017 called Dewshine, with the hillbilly on the bottle. And it said, " It'll tickle your innards"

I believe the name would be pronounced similar to "Aloe-wish-ish" but this was a very interesting video. Thanks for sharing.

@@antiquebottlestories it's a very old name, and the only reason I know of its proper pronunciation is because there's a saint with that name, and I grew up in Roman Catholic grade school and high school, so I've heard someone else say it. It's a very old Germanic language name, and here in the US I guess you just don't see it used any more. Thanks so much for sharing this interesting video with us, and I really enjoyed the commercials added. Very nicely done.

Anyone have any insight and info about a bottler with the hillbilly logo on the top part facing left? Thanks.
