If you use the glue, is the plant able to send roots through it? Is it better to use less so the roots have a better chance?

Which other glue can I use on the Airplants?
@paulisley7225
Жыл бұрын
Hi Rhona, Sorry for the late reply-we never saw your question. You can use any adhesive that is waterproof when dry and is applied at room temperature. Except for silicone caulking which has a deleterious effect on the Tillys.

Hi Maddy, You can order the Tilly Tacker online from our nursery or come by if you're close. Many nurseries carry it as well and the Home Depots in SoCal.

Are they roots or holdfasts?
@paulisley7225
Жыл бұрын
The roots are generally holdfast. As they grow they will hold the plant in position.

@@rainforestflora8691 Thank you for your quick reply! I appreciate it. I am using E6000 and so far, so good. It seems to last a couple of years.

Do you leave the wire in place or can it be removed after the glue dries? Can you use Super Glue On air plants?
@rainforestflora8691
3 жыл бұрын
Hi James, Unless he plant is really big, the wire can be removed. Super Glue needs non porous surfaces so it can't be used on the plant side. Good Growing !

Hello Luthmilda, I don't know what type of adhesive you have used that caused damage. Hot glue will burn the tissue it touches and silicone does negatively affect the plants but that's it as far as we can tell. We've been using adhesive, especially Tilly Tacker for over 40 years and we've had not problems.
