How do you know where to drill? Are the spots universal for all bindings, and then just adjusted closer or further together to accept the correct boot size? I have Attack 13s on my JJs and I'm trying to figure out if I can replace them with Salomon Shifts while keeping my boot center mounted...

The thing with the blue handles is a jig, also made by Tyrolia, which guides the installer into know where to put the holes. It's different for every manufacturer and binding type. If you want to put different binding on your skis you'll need new screw holes, and seal the old ones.

whats the piece you mounted at 1:31 called? I got a deal on some attack 13s but they didn't come with that piece and I'm wondering where I could get it.

sjpro1 without looking in the book I couldn't tell you the technical name, I refer to it a toe base plate. Should be easy to get straight from tyrolia. Call them direct.

Bit too fast of a mount for my liking. I'd be lil worried if that were my ski. But you obv know the process well and have the right tools which saves time and energy. Thanks for the vid, have to move a toe piece for remount and this showed me the beta.

Dizzlaeus i wouldnt worry about this ski mounter. He probably started off doomg his mounts much slower. In this vid he looks like a veteran mounter so who cares if he goes fast he probably is just as careful as he was in the beginning.

Which size brakes shall I mount on my Armada Edollo(98mm waist)? =)

Tyrolia makes 100mm and 110mm brakes. Either one should work for ya.

@@Blabarre84 Why not a 95 and bend it?
@Blabarre84
6 жыл бұрын
Matthew Hansen you def can do that and usually I would recommend the tightest you can fit without catching the edges. But for most people doing this work on their own, may actually crack the plastic housing on the brake trying to bend it.

Leonas Loktionovas it’s is a template jig. Usually only available to retailers. But there are consumer based products such as Jigarex.

when i bought my skis with this bindings on i found out there was a gap beetwen the binding and the ski at the very end of the binding, it that normal?
@Blabarre84
7 жыл бұрын
TheTrickUs there will be a gap between the heel piece's metal track and the ski. Its just the way the "frame" is designed.

John Kowalczyk oooo good question. The 92w model used here is the newer tyrolia jig. I believe it will go up to 110mm!
