Never knew they made that kind of duck quack sound Lol.... There's a couple of them in the woods behind my house here in Tipperary in Ireland and I noticed the parents don't make a sound in flight.. But the young ones they brooded this year always make that classic weeeeoooow sound... I look up and sure enough you can spot them lazily climbing in the thermals... LOVE THEM !!! Always happy to see them around..

Saw two common buzzards yesterday soaring, I was so happy with myself, I live in CLARE, west IRELAND, and although we have wild buzzards their rare enough. But it's always a thrill to see them. We don't have kites though, I'd love to see one. My favourite are Sparrowhawhs, the little brats🤣 I adore to see them soar in summer. Theres a falconery centre close to where I live in north CLARE, my friend worked there once.

Hi there. Do buzzards make good companion / falconary birds? Lees prey driven then a gos hawk Harris hawk let’s say. Something you could train not purely for hunting etc.
@davidbent347
3 жыл бұрын
There's been an absolute explosion in Buzzard numbers in the UK... I do alot of driving and see them everywhere I go... This didn't used to be the case. To support such a large predatory bird the food chain beneath must be flourishing too... Which is great! I have a theory on this... With the increase in Co2 in the atmosphere the existing greenery will be benefitting and growing at a faster rate throughout the year, subsequently this must be increasing and supporting the insect population. So on and so forth...
