great, great movie!!! one of my favorite guilty pleasure 80's movies for sure! Lewis did such a great job, especially on the ending escalator scene. The way he convey's coming to terms with his death and the closure he got as he ascends to heaven is so powerful!

This is one of my all time favorite movies of the 80's, but it should have either said "The Ridge Late 60's", or 1968 which is the year it was actually supposed to be, being that Lenny was 17 in 1985. I wonder how that got the past hundreds of people in all the credits making it into production? It's strange that nobody noticed that and I noticed it the first time I saw the movie back in the late 80's as a child. Overall though... Awesome movie!

Take's me back to when I was growing up. We were always dragracing and one night, one of the guys lost control of his car and rolled It. Everybody split because of the cops showing up. We stopped at a gas station and called in the accident. The guy ended up breaking his neck and was paralyzed. That: cooled our jets for quite a while. Thanks for the thumbs up on that one

Great movie... brings me back! Only 1 problem. Clearly in the beginning of the movie, when Bobby's car went over the cliff took place in the late 50's... Present day is obviously taken place in the 80's judging by their great taste in clothes and music. So about 25-28 years have passed and the kid is his son who is around 17-18 years old tops and is in high school. What happened to the other 7-10 years?
