Good idea, but maybe the wood could be replaced with other water-resistant or durable material. If it has to blend with the rest of the wooden floor, then maybe the said water resistant material could be 'printed' with wooden designs.

You know the movable floor in It's a Wonderful Life. The one that covers the pool and allows the room to function as a gymnasium. I've always wondered where it goes. It never occurred to me that it would go to the bottom of the pool. I keep engineering it in my mind. Seems like you need a space as big as the pool. Iron American Dream on KZitem.

I have kinda silly question, but here it is :D In the future is possible for this pool systems to be smart, in what way you ask?! :) Well in a matter of drowning for example. That system [cameras and other sensor] can recognize drowning and system which is responsible for sink-in mechanism starts rising, like making a pool flat again :D I know is complicated, but it will make swimming safer on so many levels. I know that the system is like slow, but it is still better chance of someone surviving, especially for people who live alone and do swimming practice by themselves. Thanks in advance for your answer. Have a nice day :)

Nice, but impractical. Especially with wood. Watertight composites, with added wood grain effect would be better suited. That way, anti-slip, color effects and other highlights could be added with little to no degradation in materials. Otherwise, great concepts!
