I love Vector Devices. This modulation system is so deep. Perhaps a "Vector Mod" device in the future, with mappable parameters…

An early version exists, it was made even before these. Just need to update it to this style someday

Thanks for those clear overviews of your "Inspired by Nature" devices Dillon, it really helps 🙂 All your devices are absolutely brilliant and fun to experiment with.

I have a package in the package manager called "MC movement studies" that does similar things, just less efficiently and less good workflow as this. But you can use any of these devices in standalone (and any max for live device) just drop it into standalone or load it with amxd object

@@dillonbastan246 Ah I forgot about that - thank you Dillon. Hope you will consider doing some tutorials on how you're doing this physics system.. seems a bit different from other methods. Less particles.. but better for music in a way.

@@ehdyn Yes I dont do them through opengl/gpu but on DSP in gen~, so on one hand it is not as efficient for particle physics and I cant do something like create 100000 particles, however you don't need many particles for these audio processes, and since they are already in the audio realm I can apply them to audio parameters smoother and without converting the data types (so potentially they can modulte parameters at audio rate, although the simulations I only have running at 80Hz I think). Also if on the GPU then they would be queue limited :/ so that's not good for controlling audio parameters

@@dillonbastan246 Thank you for some additional details.. I'm very interested in pursuing this approach as well. There's always been this sort of barrier between Jitter and MSP that I was looking for ways around - seems you found the most promising way. The possibilities are endless!

@@ehdyn Just depends on your needs, I wouldn't claim it's the most promising way and there are many ways to do things I haven't tried. However its usually the audio processes that are the ones consuming the most cpu in my projects anyway, the particle physics is generally very little

I checked where I found a possible bug. It's in Vector Delay. The freeze doesn't seem to work on clicking the display. Is there a way to MIDI or Key trigger the freeze or random function instead of by mouse click. They can be automated, I can see.

hey email me so we can resolve this: dillonbastan@gmail.com The button for the freeze is on the display itself, so you should be able to map it just like any other button
