Another movie reference - the nipples of Venus remind me of the miracle pill in The Princess Bride! "That's a miracle pill?? The chocolate makes it go down easier!" 😂

I was taught to put a tablespoon of coconut oil in my melted white chocolate, so to easily dip my cake pops, peanut butter balls, etc, and it works perfectly. It sets up very nicely, as well. Thank you for these fun movie inspired recipes. You honestly make me feel as if I can take on any culinary challenge. Sincerely, I thank you.💞🙏

I love all DPTs, but this one was brilliant! I was laughing out loud in several parts, especially the reenactment of Close Encounters where the dogs played parts. Thank you for your great talent and energy Randy. (And thanks for my movie list for October).

Thanks to FINGERBOWLS I found your channel - yep, fingerbowls. I have been binge-watching for days. I love your channel. Please keep the videos coming! The fingerbowl video was particularly of interest to me because I like using them but I know many people aren't familiar with them. Your story about your brother's friend putting ice cream in the bowl and how your father did the same was just awesome. Some of the things I look forward to in your videos: As Hosts and Hostesses how do we make our guests feel comfortable with unfamiliar things ? How do we lavish our guests with our very best without seeming snobby or intimidating? More cocktail and wine information - love it. More of your stories about your life. Just keep the videos coming - this is gold! Also, your love of your peeps and your dogs. I have been brought to tears more than once- in a good way. I suck at expressing thoughts in words - but you, Randy, are seriously one of the most special channels I have come across on youtube. Keep up the great and INSPIRATIONAL work!

Great to see you, and I love this idea for your shows. Chocolat is a great film. Like Water for Chocolate is also a great film. Seems there were several food-centric independent films in the 80s. The others that come to mind are The Cook, the Thief, the Wife and her Lover; and Babette's Feast. Yes, to all Balls! I did scene work with Equus in college.

My boyfriend met Salieri aka F. Murray Abraham in early 2000's who was casually sitting on a brownstone stoop on the Upper West Side and commented on my bfs car that he just parked, they had a pleasant conversation, so cool... I've been playing flute and piano, Mozart especially since I was 6 in ( born in 1981) so what a treat this video was for me... Randy, you are a national treasure! This was the loveliest thing I could have watched on a fall Sunday. Also coffee ice cream is my favorite, as are mashed potatoes... never said no to those.

There you go again, Randy! Don't take it badly because I really do like you, but why do you have to throw the egg whites again??? They stay good for months in the fridge (in a clean glass container), you just have to weigh what you need and let it get to room temperature on a counter before wiping up a meringue (French or Italian - it doesn't matter) or macaroons, or coconut rocks, or an omelet, or whatever you may think off, and done! The best meringues and macaroons are made with old whites brought to room temperature (the opposite of poached eggs). Or you can freeze them. Or give them to someone around you who will have the use for them. But, please. Please. Stop throwing them away. Thank you. Lots of love.

We're the same age. Went to see Jaws right when it came out and hadn't learned any of the jump scary scenes. Was slightly afraid of showering let alone swimming for awhile, lol. Moonstruck is one of my favorite movies of all time, I know all the lines 🤣and sometimes quote it and the only one who gets it is my husband of 38 years. Great video, very fun, thank you!

Excellent post vid movie thingy! I went to Jaws with my boyfriend and left because it terrified me. I went and bought a wig. Somehow that was the antidote. I was 23. I saw Close Encounters in Bridgewater near the farm I'd moved to the guy I left in the movie house during Jaws. A character came on in one of the later scenes. I yelled out " oh my gawd it's Sven!" Sven was an evil character on the soap opera Another World. Everyone in the theatre laughed because EVERYONE in Nova Scotia watched Another World. I friggin loved that movie and use to stand on our farm's highest hill and beg the aliens to come. For some reason that escapes me I have never seen Taxi Driver. I will. Tonight. I used to be the artistic director of a small theatre. Because of that I was asked to be one of the celebrities at a golf game. Me and my playwriting partner wore outfits borrowed from the CBC's costume department. They were from an Amadeus skit. I hate golf and I was boiling. Loved the movie though. Moonstruck is one of my favourite movies ever. Watching this post etc...was like reliving a chunk of my life. Thank you.
