This is one of my favorite scenes from any movie. Gus Van Sant directed Good Will Hunting and Robin Williams won an Oscar for his portrayal of Sean Maguire, Will Hunting's therapist. This film also won Matt Damon and Ben Affleck Oscars for Best Original Screenplay. This scene includes the famous line, "I gotta go see about a girl."
In this scene we analyze the Writing, Filming, and Editing in great detail. This includes a tension graph and identifying the conflict. Will wants to know how to live, but he has never had a decent parental figure to guide him. Sean wants to help Will, but he will need to mix up his approach to break through his defense mechanisms. The blocking of the scene is very well thought out, especially the last few shots in which the camera movement reveals that Will is finally following Sean.
Then in the editing analysis, we see a strong use of what Pudovkin calls Parallelism.
