I think they are both great because I appreciate both the art of dance and editing but I think the time frame difference between the clips and the music in the other one is cooler just because it goes together so well tho there is no way they could be dancing to it

A few years back there was another mesh up using “Uptown Funk” that I still think was the best mesh up ever, but this is a pretty close second. Either version just gives me one of those big old body smiles…And man do we need those these days more than ever with all the sadness in the world…

I don't know for sure, but it looks like it might be KingofKungfu2002. "They" did Footloose in 2019 that is so similiar with some similar clips in it. It's magic though imo. Takes a LOT of talent to find all those old movie dancing clips, then picking what scenes will work with and sync with the music. THEN edit it all together.

I absolutely love this song because it brings back the 70s and 80s, my clubbing era when we were dancing to Earth Wind and Fire, The Commodores, The Fatback Band, and all those great funk bands of that era. These videos are proof that this particular rythym is universal through the ages. This song makes me want to dance, which unfortunately I can't do right now, but it's good to listen to anyway.

Eugene Curran Kelly was an American-Irish dancer, ("Singing in the Rain" dude) known for his energetic and athletic dancing style. He offered the "street" dancing of his day compared to Fred Astair's tuxedo dancing. At least 8 of his cuts in this piece. At 0:21 he has steps that weren't seen again for 50 years!!!

kind of interesting how universal across the decades the beat of the song translates to different dance moves and genre's. Love the old movies that still 'fit' with this modern beat. Great selection of movie segments and editing. Watched this a number of times over the years.

Okay - II was sitting here watching this and my feet were going cray cray underneath me - and so were my arms. I got a work-out without ever standing up, LOL! Wonderful putting together all those great dance clips from movies over the years (many of which I saw, either on TV back in the pre-pay for movies days) and stars, many now passed away, that we still remember generations later because they were - so wonderful. Thank you for this great production.

Brilliant idea. This is a video that was put together impeccably. It obviously took time and someone actually cared what the results would be. This caresses your ears and make your eyes dance. You can’t watch it only once…

Have you seen the vintage "uptown dance" video? The BESt and does not repeat any of the scenes. This was interesting. This being contemporary, where was Christopher Walken?????

I ADORE the old movies in this that most millennials haven't seen. I'm talking about Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, West Side Story and Singing in the Rain (among others). Those were such talented people that made the way for many dances and performers that we have now. Great job with this!

I grew up with these movies...from my parents to my two paternal aunts...both Dominican Sisters who who'd visit for two week each during the summer...and I got to watch TV during the day time...Fred and Ginger, Gene Kelly...all the greats. .I'm almost 72...growing up in thev50s/60s was a great time of my life!!!

OMG this was AMAZING! Whoever was responsible for finding these clips and editing them ...seamlessly...to the tempo of this song has rhythm! I sat in my car, parked in a Wal-Mart parking lot...and watched this...tapping my feet and grinning like the Cheshire cat! I LOVED THIS!

A Fantastic Fabulous and Fully Loaded splicing of such wonderful dance routines you could ever imagine, put together in a brilliant edit by a fine choreographer in the wings! How in THE actual hell am I just now finding this?? Putting old dance to new tunes, goes to show that no matter who you are, now matter what era of dance you observe, American dance has always been cool. Despite the warped minds of some people, this is a great country and American culture was once wonderful and unique in all the world. I wonder if they're actually proud of themselves for trying to destroy that.

Wow, you didn't limit yourself at all when choosing material. Most will show the usual top 20, maybe throw in an iconic Astaire/Rogers or Marx Bros. at best, but this had some bits I'd forgotten about. And then 7B7B...? One of my all-time favorites. Great work.

Marx brothers ? They were a comedy team -- not dancers. Not in this collection. There are 2 brothers dancing here who were fantastic people and great tap dancers, … but I will let you research that. Part of Dancing 201 class final exam.

@@v.gorski3050 There were musical numbers in the Marx Bros. movies, and they did dance, I can imitate them quite well. The were pretty funny, it was all for laughs of course, but they had real dance troupes at times. Like the Lindy Hoppers, I think they were called. I've seen their clips show up in compilations like this. The Nicholas Bros.are unknown by too many today but I saw their performance with Calloway making the rounds here recently. Nice to see. P.S. Don't be a snob, it's all just fun...Schoolmarm

This is fabulous. Who ever put this together are great 👍. All the time they took to look thru all those old and new movies of great dancing scenes had to take a long time and effort and what a pay off. This shows how old and new movies can look together. Bruno Mars should see this and be pleased his song ( which is a song I love 💗 and is great 👍) just flowed so well with these old dance scenes.

Wow!! Wow!! This was incredible. It really brought a smile to my face. And then a sense of total awe at how the producers of this film must have worked so incredibly hard to find these outstanding dance sequences that are so remarkable in “old” movies that we all love and time them just perfectly into each dance sequence. Awesome!! Bravo!! Bravo!!
