BlackBeans, I love your technique so much because: You work pastels completely different from the way other artists I have studied via KZitem. For this reason, I always look forward to watching your new videos and I have watched several of your older videos, several times. At some point, in the near future, I will have the courage to practice with my old chalk pastels and my old oil pastels…. So, thank you for sharing your artistic gifts with us…

I love the Devil's Backbone! Guillermo Del Toro's movies are hit or miss with me, but I always love the look of his movies. I really love Pan's Labyrinth and the Devil's Backbone. I love that he does a combination of practical and computer effects. I heard that those two are part of a trilogy about war that he hasn't finished yet. Can't wait to see what you do for spooky season! 🧡💜

I've seen "The Fly" (1986) and was soooo grossed out! I'm doing the same thing ~ re-watching movies from my childhood with my adult mind. I've tried re-watching "The Wiz," that movie terrified me. As an adult, I just could not watch the movie. The lighting was so bad, it's not a horror movie ~ but it should be. I don't know if I should suggest "Tourist Trap" (1979). People might psych evaluate me. . . But! Tis the season to be creepy!

I enjoyed hearing about all these spooky movies. One of my fav horror movies is Mama (2013). I saw it in the theater with my sister when it came out, and it's interesting to me because it's set in my hometown. Super random because the director is Andy Muschietti who I doubt is from the south. It's DOUBLE random because the movie is also half-set in the town where I go on vacation with my parents. He must've really studied the state geography! Also produced by Guillermo del Toro so you will like it!

The Witches Moon Hereditary Under the Skin Killing of a Sacred Deer The Girl with All the Gifts Great SciFi from the 1950s.... Invasion of the Body Snatchers (original) Them Forbidden Planet Invaders From Mars The Thing (plus 1982 remake) The Monolith Monsters This Island Earth The Day the Earth Stood Still May these films inspire your drawings

Just started watching you and now I'm obsessed with your art style! As for spooky suggestions, I remember watching the 1932 movie Freaks. Olga Baclanova's Cleopatra in the "one of us" scene where she starts amused but mildly disgusted, then achingly slowly devolves into this horrifically furious woman masquerading as a "normal" person. With your style I bet her grotesque faces could be nightmare fuel!

We went and watched Nope. It was good. Then we watched The Poughkeepsie Tapes- I missed the first few minutes and didn’t realize it was a fake documentary- that movie messed me up for days. It’s ‘bad people’ horror, not supernatural or psychological. It does approach gore, but I wouldn’t call it a slasher.

Unpopular opinion, the movie Tusk was actually scary for me. Not the villains or anything like that, but just the thought of someone could really trick you, and put you a sleeping disorder your body while you are asleep. And they can’t put your body back to normal. Even though it probably was considered to be more of a comedy, in retrospect, the thought of essentially a doctor putting you asleep, which most doctors do, then perform surgery on you to basically do whatever they would like on you while you are asleep, because they have the opportunity to do that, even if it is illegal they still can do it. And then you’re permanently scarred that way for the rest your life.
