Medical culture may encourage and reward perfectionist and self-sacrificial tendencies. Our expert guest had to learn how to overcome these beliefs. Dr. Taylor Miller is a veterinarian and a board of directors member for Not One More Vet (NOMV). She works in clinic relief but spends most of her work in 1:1 mental health counseling with caretakers, individuals whose job description is often part of their personal identity and ask for self-sacrifice.
Dr. Miller is a 2010 Oregan State University College of Veterinary Medicine graduate and in 2015 completed a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University.
