Travel somewhere and find your place! I was in same boat love! I went in vacation to Canada few times over the years and I LOVE it. And now putting my energy and money towards moving there because I've found my new home. I would advise though to go somewhere and feel the place out see if you can see yourself living there and enjoying yourself.

sweet little me I think research immigration first, go on the country’s official website and see how you can legally move there. Then see more about geography (towns, provinces etc) and google a few areas to see if they might be a good fit for you (look for crime rate, jobs, schools, real estate prices, habitability, climate, currency, tax rate etc). Googling about the country’s history is a good thing too. Check their political and economic situation.

saneill17 hey, im on the process of moving to Israel as there is more opportunity there for me. I told my bf this and gave him 3 options: we either break up, have a LDR or we get married. Getting married is the only way he can move there and stay while im there. I told him I didnt want to be without him obvs but I cant expevt him to follow me into a land hes never been to before. He took time to think of this and long story short, we got married last year october at the age of 20 :) my point is- follow your heart. You should do things for you and the rest will follow. If they dont, there more in-stall for you. Wish you all the best and so much success

wow that is so brave..I'm in the same situation too. I want to move overseas so badly and the only thing stopping me is my relationship. We've been together for a long time and we love eachother so how do you just up and leave the person you love and give them an ultimatum to either break up or move to a completely new country..? Its kind of hard to expect that of someone especially if they have a lot going for them where they are now. I don't want to be selfish and put him under s decision like that and force him away from his family and friends..i know he wouldn't be happy. but like you said...do you hold back from following your dreams for a relationship? this has been the hardest decision of my life. fulfill my life long dream of moving to Europe or stay here to keep my relationship going.

I’m also moving to the Netherlands in 3 weeks but I’m 25. I’d wait until you’re 18 or older to plan on moving. For future reference if you change your mind on moving - Save a lot of money, have a place to crash in ready, and do some research regarding a permanent resident card. Do you have a host? Do y’all meet the requirements? As for your family... if they’re supportive, great. If not, don’t let that stop you from moving. Do what will make you happy! They’ll eventually come to accept your decision.

For health insurance you can go to your local bank in your country and ask what they can provide for you :) And thank you!

Tip: if you have a german parent you can get immediate citizenship just by going there and giving up current citizenship. According to my mom (who was born and grew up in germany )

Really?? I have tried in the German embassy in Indonesia but as I am over 23 it's nearly impossible. I'm moving to Switzerland soon and it will be easier to have German passport than Indonesian. PS: I'm mixed Indonesian x German

Just landed no your page and I'm also CDN, plan on moving abroad to SE Asia as well. I agree with you on the life aspect and how Canada isn't there and changing your life. Aside note, for luggage you think 3 set luggage is a bit much or keep it more minimal? Great post by the way!

Do you have any tips for banking? Like yo do with money. How to store it, when you should or how you get a bank account overseas, if you can keep a account in both countries and all that?

Great vid!! Very straightforward and informative. I'm getting ready to pack up and move to Tokyo in a few weeks and it feels like the more I try to prepare, the more I realize just how unprepared I am lol, just hoping I can make it there in one piece! Question: Would you say it's possible to travel with 3 suitcases? I've stored/given away/sold as much as I can but i'm still left with 3 suitcases full of stuff. I'll have someone with me as I leave and someone waiting in Tokyo that can help me but I'm concerned about those gaps before/after flights where it'll be just me lol. Especially because I will have my cat with me as well hahah

I've traveled with 4 before. It's good you have people to help! In between flights they have carts if you need to manage your own luggage, but usually at check-in you can request that all your luggage is directly sent to the destination country, so you don't need to re-check your bags when you transfer.

how exciting for you! But I thought the borders to japan are closed unless you have special reasons to be there such as athletes for trainers, diplomates and others like that?

I’m having a child in the uk in June, how can I legally move from the us to take care of the baby and my girlfriend?

This is late, but since you’re an american citizen just pack up and go. I’m pretty sure you can stay there 6 months without a visa, (research it more on the uk’s website and the usa’s) and during the 6 months apply for a work permit and find a job or apply to a uni and get a study permit. Later apply for permanent residence, then you’ll get the nationality if you meet the requirements. And if your child is British it will be easier for you to get it too

I posted this awhile ago and I greatly appreciate the responses. Unfortunately she had a miscarriage and we lost the baby. I’ve never experienced a pain like this before but again, thank you.

@@catchemvids I am genuinely sorry to hear this and to have been the one to bring you back to this traumatic experience. My mum had a miscarriage years ago and is still deeply hurt by it so I somewhat get the pain it is, sorry for your loss and I wish you all the best in life

Question, do you have to eventually apply for citizenship in the country you live in after staying there for a certain amount of time? I know you would have to if your final decision is to live there pernamintly and be involved in with it's system like voting there? If you apply for citzenship in that country, does that mean you are no longer considered a U.S citizen if that country does not do dual citizenship? Are the moving companies who would move your items including your veheicle overseas associate with airlines? Do you know any companies who move your items long distance within the country and overseas? If yes, can you please name them? Do you know any international job application websites?

It all depends on your future plans and the reason of moving. You could start searching college abroad and look for prices if you are planning to move to study somewhere else. Or if you just want to learn a different culture you could look for a course to learn the language of the place and you could interact and meet the locals.
