Anyone else think we should have more of these spaces in our towns/cities?

The long awaited episode. It was another wet cloudy day but we managed to pull it off. Thank you to everyone who has been enjoying & following this series. We have plenty of updates on the garden to come but the aim is to make more of them across the country next year ❤ Thanks, to the RHS, Brentwood Moss Nurseries, Robert Dyas, The M.E.N, Veg Trug, Zest Outdoor Living and everyone within the community for helping me bring this project together ❤

I’m SO proud of you! From start to finish! Congratulations! Your dream came true! I saw you wanted to cry and I cried! What an amazing project. You didn’t just transform an alley, you transformed lives - even Mr. Tortellini, a parrot, cat, hedgehog and even a spider!!!! Every alleyway in the world can learn from this. Not only beautify an alley but make neighborhood friendships. May God bless you for bringing all His creations together in one alleyway. Now, go celebrate and then get some well deserved rest. Well done! ❤😊🇺🇸.

Thank you soo much! You've been following along from the start so you know the amount of work that went into this garden. I am so pleased with the gardens outcome. I think you touched on something.. the key to this gardens success was bringing the community together and involving them. Hopefully, of the course of the next year I will be able to create more of these green pockets around Manchester and the globe :) Thank you for being as invested in this series and for your support! x

A wonderful relocation, and trust most things were utilised in one way or another. The beauty of this is the community. I can see how individuals are already engaging and embrace their new surrounding with food and conversations. Your hard work and perseverance have and will continue to bring great joy and happiness to many. congratulations again!!

Everything was reused, so there was no wastage at all :) I think you are right, it's the bringing the community together that's the key to this garden. I hope it will continue to survive for years to come :)

What an amazing project. I was so glad to hear your intention at the show and it happening is wonderful to see. I lived in a troubled estate in Salford in the very early 90s. Seeing entire roads demolished is hard to understand until you've seen it. I'm so glad to see coverage like yours of changes and projects like this. Well done all involved and the lucky residents. 🌷🌺🌲

Thanks for sharing! I actually think it looks way better here than at the show. But my goal was never really to create the most amazing show garden it was forward thinking to this space and what was best for the community. I'm hoping to help make more gardens like this throughout Salford/Manchester/North West next year so keep an eye out 🙈

@@CloudGardenerUK I'm so glad to see times changing. I have a garden in SW Wales now (still a council tenant much to a neighbours shock at the fact I garden), but never forget the first time I challenged myself to grow in a concrete yard and vertically sure helped. You along with others are doing wonderful things.

What a beautiful gift to the community! The plants and design look so beautiful in their new home. If I lived there, I would definitely site out there in the evening underneath the lights. Congratulations on a successful, meaningful and beautiful project.

Oh wow, what a result, it looks fabulous and it’ll only get better with everything in bloom and the hustle and bustle of the community utilising the space. I love how it looks at night, fairy lights, chimes, candles and moon gazing amongst the plants will be amazing. Well done for your hard work to pull it off and to bring the community together. X

Pretty cool, Jason. I learned a new phrase, “fly tipping.” Awful that. My favorites this time around? Seeing the community coming together especially at night time (good way to wind down at the end of a busy day or regular day), the jasmine (i looove night blooming jasmine; is that what you’ve got?), the notice board, climbing plants, figs!, solar lighting and the bright yellow and red flowers. From the 2nd alley, i loved the mattress spring/frame which i am guessing is going to have climbers? All just lovely. You done good!

@@CloudGardenerUK Okay, you could say you won the 100 meter race in the alleyway garden design and now comes the long distant race for others to adopt it as their own. It will test your endurance skills but I believe your calm, winning personality will gain their respect and they will love you and their new garden for years to come! 😂

What a shame that certain people want to spoil things for others. Fly tippers are scum.
