Been there done that! Don’t need the nightlife anymore, as we are at the family with young kids stage so we don’t mind that at all 😊. We may move that way if an upcoming job interview goes well 👍🏻 looks like a great place to live. Hoping to call Huntsville our new home soon 🏡.

I have heard people are moving out of B'Ham and moving to Huntsville. I have visited there a few times and I liked the place. One of my friends lived there for a while. If I was looking for a place to move to, I would try Huntsville.

I believe you should’ve mentioned, regarding the cost of living, that sales tax in Huntsville is 9%, and also that there is a tax on food which many other states do not have. I’m a senior currently in S. Fla. living on (low) Social Security and I was thinking of moving to Hsv, or surrounding area, because I know someone there, but I’m thinking it may not be practical for me.

Possibly looking to move there in Huntsville AL area. I can't wait to try that Ramen place u mentioned. I'm from CA and fine dining is overpriced IMHO. Why pay more? If the food is good, no need to sit in a high quality atmosphere. Thx u for the info in the video. 👍🏽

It's a great area! And I'm with you on that! Fortunately, you can find a lot of great places to eat here that aren't going to break the bank! Kamedo Ramen is definitely one of my favorites, and the Stovehouse has such a neat atmosphere! @@MovingToHuntsvilleAlabama256 The Huntsville area is starting to develop into a very nice city. I'm not a city person but it's good to know if I want to go there, it is there. I went to the Woodville area and I liked that, more spread out with land.

@gGHE2005 From NY and Huntsville food is its worst attribute for sure... People prefer quantity over quality and especially price seems a common theme... 🫠

@@estefhanimartinez1947 Huntsville is like a mega town.It's like any city in America,it has it's good and bad areas.It was voted the #1 and #2 best place to live in America for families,within 2 years. As long as you're not near the projects or hood,you'll be fine. I lived in Huntsville right before COVID-19 hit. Their atmosphere is different from Alabama in a weird way. Huntsville has one of the best educational institutions in Alabama and the country. School is one of the least things you guys will have to worry about, people in Huntsville are highly intelligent and educated.I lived in Los Angeles, Atlanta,VA, Florida, Huntsville and a few places in Alabama and Georgia. Huntsville is by far the most safest,peaceful, unique places I've lived. It will kinda feel brand new and like a small piece of home (California). The major wants Huntsville to live up to the hype and bring more attractions for out of towners. The city officials are much aware of Huntsville new popularity from the nation.

What are the concerns with nuclear energy?
@MovingToHuntsvilleAlabama256

For the most part, nuclear energy is a very efficient source of energy. Some people get concerned living near areas with nuclear plants should something ever go wrong with them, but it's more that what if worse case scenario fear than a regular day to day concern. Here's some more info from the EIA where they explain more info on nuclear energy, I hope it helps! www.eia.gov/energyexplained/nuclear/nuclear-power-and-the-environment.php#:~:text=Nuclear%20energy%20produces%20radioactive%20waste,health%20for%20thousands%20of%20years. -Richard Graham, PSA, RENE, MRP - Deans List Realty, LLC

@@MovingToHuntsvilleAlabama256 thanks for the response. I am considering a move to Huntsville soon and was hopeful there wasn’t existing problems with the nuclear plants in the area. I’m glad to know there are no concerns there. I think when people hear “nuclear power” they can’t help but think of the very few (3-4) worst case scenarios that have occurred. Nuclear power is overwhelmingly safe, clean, and efficient. With improvements happening all the time, I hope we see more nuclear plants across the country to power our infrastructure.

Instead of being concerned about nuclear energy, you should be slightly more concerned about Redstone Arsenal, it is an arsenal after all. If any foreign powers decide to take aim at it, that would be a major disaster right in the middle of Huntsville. Just saying.
