OMG, JONATHAN! Just when I thought that there was nothing you could perform that would surprise me, along comes this absolutely masterful performance! I thought that one’s feet had to fly playing Bach’s “Jig” fugue, but THIS! God only knows how long you had to practice this before this recording took place! Such unerring footwork is almost beyond belief! Once again you have proven yourself to be one of the greatest organists ever! Between your laurel wreath performance and Tom’s, as always, superb camerawork, this is a video I will enjoy for many years to come and I can never thank you both enough!❤️❤️😃🏅🇨🇦

The organ is a one person orchestra and almost any piece of music sounds great on it. I've even experimented with playing a piece or two by Metallica on the organ. It would be great to hear You also on at least one of our instruments in the region. Here in Germany at Kirchheimbolanden, Rhineland-Palatinate, we have a historical Organ by Johann Michael Stumm, including 45 stops, three keyboards and pedal, on which Mozart performed himself 1778. If you are over here and You wish, please let us know, happy to arrange a trial session for You. Kind Regards Franz-Juergen

My Sister Barb would LOVE this! Even though Mozart never wrote this for the pipe organ; it works! REALLY WORKS!!!! I love the slightly strident nature of the Principals on this instrument. Makes up in dividends for it's slight stature! Overall, EXCELLENT!!!!!! Wish I could see the registrations though. There's a particularly nice flute in the swell division that is bright - but not strident, full but not 'fat', clear and transparent yet loud in it's own right. Based upon the stoplist provide I'm guessing the Koppelflöte but not sure... Couplers can do amazing things though! You know what? It could be this " Plen jeu III rks " Never encountered one, but never heard an organ flute sound so good....

Amazing. It's worth mentioning that in Baroque music, the pedals often play simple sustained notes, but in this transcription of a classical period work, they do pretty complex melody lines. Coupled with the occasional visits to the swell pedal... how he manages to do it flawlessly without ever looking down is beyond me.
@cygil1
Жыл бұрын
It's actually much easier to locate the pedals without looking than the keys, they are much much larger and the difference between adjacent noted is obvious with practice. The real trick is not slipping on the bench (or worse yet, off the bench )

Jonathan Scott plays organ in a high level and niveau. He is a very big and great genius. He plays organ with both hands and both feet. This is very impressive and very difficult to coordinate everything. Moving the feet and the hands so quickly is very demanding for the brain and the body is tired after a large organ session with the hands and feet. The organ is a very giant instrument and the organ sounds like an orchestra, because the organ has many soundcolors.
