Great vid bro! I'm still in 2.6 too. I like that external hard drive idea. Also looks like there will be new instrument plugins coming for stuff like brass, strings, drums, etc.. looks like Standalone. There's a thread on mpc forums about it. But don't ask Dynasty he thinks that site looks like ass 🤣

As an MPC Live user, I definitely have to agree with you that 2.7 was a HUGE disappointment. The other guy is correct about new instruments coming in standalone mode for the MPC soon. I'm not sure what features you would be interested in, but you're right, most of the time, AKAI does listen to their user base. The 2.3 update with sidechaining was big, we wanted that since the beginning. (I got my Live in November 2017 when 2.0 was still in Beta) The Drum synth and more instruments were 2 out of the 5 most requested features, so im glad they are going this way. I hope they incorporate more sampler and sequencer features in the future. Many of us in the community have been dying for more flexibility.

Also in my opinion there isn't a more powerful machine than the LIVE, the X and One included out there that does more all in one. Someone tell me please if there is.

Lifted Noise def is not unless you start using workstation keyboard but you have to have a plug no battery and you have to get a good one and they cost a lot more.

I got the live a couple of months ago. I was initially gonna wait for the one but I’m so glad I went with the live. I honestly didn’t think I would use it unplugged with the battery at all cos usually when I jam I have all my gear setup near a PowerPoint but it’s been so nice to carry it around from room to room or take it to the couch and chop up some beats. Also the live just feels so much better in terms of the buttons compared to the one. The plastic pads and buttons on the one feel real cheap compared to the live. I think they could improve the touch screens sensitivity. It doesn’t have that responsiveness that we are use to with smartphones and tablets. Typing feels clunky not completely accurate to touch. Also the grid mode feels super annoying to use with the slightly unresponsive touch screen. I find myself having to zoom and tap and change tools multiple times just to do basic things. Overall the the system is integrated nicely to use the screen but obviously more buttons are always better if it doesn’t come at the cost of form factor. I love my MPC live and I’ve pretty much got to the stage where I am sampling, chopping, recording audio, arranging and mixing entire songs all within the standalone mode. All I need to do is take the final track into a daw for some basic mastering which imo can’t be done on the MPC due to lack of third party VST compatibility and some important visual features on things like an EQ I would usually use to master a track. Overall I would easily recommend the Live to anyone.
@THEKINGOCAESAR

Roy G Biv word man so glad you like your live. I don’t like the eqs on the live either but it does have a pretty good limiter in there from air technologies so check it out I think it’s call air master or something. I know it’s and air plugging tho.
@JUNO-69
4 жыл бұрын
THEKINGOCAESAR The only plus side to having no visual feedback on things like an eq is you really have to learn to use your ears to mix which is what it’s all about anyway. But man I lean on those visuals like a crutch so it’s hard to do lol. Thanks brother I’ll check out the limiter. I’ve got a few tracks sitting waiting to put the final touches on so that will be super helpful.

I love mines. i don't understand the complaints about it. if you hooking it up to bunch of different things then yeah your going to have problems. I use it stand alone. I got a 128GB SD card that has tons of sounds, kits and beats on it and it's not even half full. the MK 2 is out. while I like the speaker I wish it had 4 or 8GB. the new buttons are okay but I only needed a track mute button. i'm not that lazy. Alonzo Eubank so I have a 1 tb hard drive inside my live but I keep that external for sample and to back up my mpc beats because it is a hard drive and it can fail just like any other hard drive so, I keep that one attached to make sure if that one fails I still have all my stuff that is not replaceable. I highly recommend doing that with any device that has hard drive is having a way to back up the information if you can afford it. Using ssd drive are better too.

Diddddumm I think your miss understanding me bro. I’m saying once your in note repeat mode going between the different time signature. There is no physical buttons for that for example. If I am making high hat if I want them to change from 1/8 notes to 1/16 while I’m recording them I have to do that on the touch screen. On the ren the f buttons under the screen you can use to switch from 1/4 to 1/16. If feels better and it is more precise.
