Hello again! Is there a way to record the XYFX directly? Like,press overdub then XYFX away and it stays recorded?

Very interested in this one. My drums are either full boom bap (from Marco Polo's kit) or the kick just doesn't hit. I've been using reverb,a tip I've learned from one of your videos. gonna check this as soon as I can!!

Amazing tune! I just discovered the new fx page today when trying making some beats, I like the way you can play and automate multiple effects alongside the other four effects that can be applied in the inserts. I’d like to know how did you shape the bass from the Hype synth. Great tutorial, as always!
@Marrcello

Thanks Pablo!:) I used the hype synth, but also the 4 insert fx, distortion, eq, compression ti create the bass..I also thought about making a video about how to make an 808 type of sound with the hype..but before, I have to practice^^ Thanks for tuning in man✌

@@Marrcello Thank you so much for the info! A follow up tutorial explaining this from the project would be awesome. Personally, I think that choosing the right sounds is the most important part of composing and then shape them. I usually work with loops from soundpacks which already sound great on their own but also a bit generic and that’s why I decided to purchase and use this MPC to make beats more freely and go deeper into sound design and create more dynamics. To write lyrics a bit faster I’m using Lyric Studio Pro, which gives me phrases and ideas the same way as working with a co-writer. Thank you again and take care

@@PabloDeModeOfficial True! Yeah the freedom you get is great, if you know a little bit about sound design..with the right tools you can change any sound to your liking ! Lyric Studio Pro sounds interesting, I'm going to check that out!

Curious what your Swing preference is???
@user-mb8rf7qk5q

Marrcello you have a really good natural sense of rhythm and i notice after you record your stuff it sounds right in the pocket. You must have a really good setting for your TC and swing. Can you share what your setting is please?
@Marrcello
3 жыл бұрын
Thanks!! In this video, I had the Timing Correct Off, except for the Kick and the Snare.. I usually just switch between TC on (swing setting on default 50) or TC off^^ I almost never change the swing setting.. I used to play the drums for a long time, maybe thats one of the reasons for good timing^^

@@Marrcello THANK YOU for explaining that in detail! Makes complete sense bc I’m the same way but I’ve been struggling to find the perfect TC setting. I prefer when it’s off bc I do more experimental R&B and drum off-grid and the TC was changing my rhythm too much and messing up the vibe. I was at the point where I was like well maybe I don’t even need TC on? Thanks a million, You’re dope!

I have the same problem, with tc on it sounds too mechanical, my natural rhythm never works in the loop it always sounds good but then the loop starts over and it becomes a polyrythm...maybe you could make a video on how to make your sequence timing work in the loop...thanks!
