Nice job! I usually only drink porters around Christmas time when it's really cold. I like them with a little honey mixed in with them. Try it 50/50 blended with a pale ale but cut down on the starter to kill some of the coffee taste and you will love it. Almost tastes like a light Michelob Octoberfest.

I’m 3 days away from putting my Vanilla Porter in the fridge. Got a great price from Mr Beer for the recipe and can’t wait to try it.

Great video 👍. Love the addition of the beer style history. I know that Mr Beer won't deliver up to you guys in Canada. If you get a post office box I would be willing to send you a kit for Christmas. I like to add 5 grams of Cocao nibs and 2 cups of maple syrup to my Porter's. In fact I have one in primary fermentation as we speak. I am letting it go for 3 weeks total and add the Cocao nibs after week 2. Anyway keep up the good work.

Awesome. I've been considering trying to replicate a peppermint porter that a local brewery here in Charleston S.C. makes. Absolutely phenomenal beer. I'm thinking I'll use this kit as the base. Good review!

Thanks! And yes that’s a great idea. I think this porter would be an amazing base for any porter recipe with additional adjuncts. When you brew it let me know how it turns out. Cheers 🍻

I'm a fan of "nitro polygamy porter" < google There's pub I go to that has it on tap. They get lots of complaints because of low carbonation but that's the way it's suppose to be. And, even less when they add the nitrogen. Yours looks perfect!! I'm brewing my first Mr. Beer American Porter today and I'll be following the video again for good tips.

Awesome yes I really liked this one for sure. I think I might try making a coffee porter or a Irish coffee stout. Thanks for watching, let me know how yours turns out

@@EsCoBrewing Here's something I didn't know. It looks like there's only one Porter and one Stout extract. But, when you search their site for Porter there are several recipes using their standard extract.

You mention the Porter isn’t your favourite of the Mr. Beer line. Just curious what you would say is your favourite?

Hi, my favourite from Mr beer is probably the Diablo IPA. But recently I have been enjoying a lot of coffee stouts so I think I will brew a mr beer Irish coffee stout in the new year. Cheers 🍻

Just watched your unboxing of the Mr Beer kit video and heard the shoutout to Diablo IPA and the Bewitched IPA! Just got my first kit this week and very excited for my first brew! Your channel has been a huge help, learning lots. I was also wondering how long you hold onto the refills for? I know there is an expiration date on the bottom of the malt extract can, but I assume that a refill is usually good to sit for a few months? Thinking about buying multiple at a time, but want to avoid any expiring if they sit for a few months
