There is nothing wron. But we have to remember this isnt a real modeling competition. This is a TV show first and foremost and they need to create drama wherever they can to make the show "interesting". Would as many people have tuned in week to week if the girls always did some studio portraits done or they were in fields of flowers, and they always got a pat on the back? The producers fully knew the kind of reality tv that got high ratings, so they would do crazy photoshoots, and stupid challenges and tell the girls they suck and give them different archetypes like you're the b*tch, you're the whiner etc to fit into that mould. This show never really helped the models learn about the industry. The only thing that it maybe helped with was some exposure and fame.

Mr. Jay actually has an interesting series on KZitem where he goes through each season and gives his real opinions and behind the scenes stories. There was a stipulation in his contract where he wasn’t allowed to speak in public about anything to do with production for a certain number of years, and that stipulation finally expired. There was A LOT of confirmed stories about production shenanigans and the awful ways the girls were treated and manipulated. He said MANY times there were photo shoots where he thought a particular girl did great, and he marked her best photos for Tyra to review to select her final photo, and somehow (miraculously) at the final judging there was a bad photo chosen that the judges could then pick apart because production had basically decided behind the scenes that it was “time for that girl to go.” Like basically that girl was boring, and not part of the “story” production was trying to tell, so she was eliminated. It’s all a circus.

The sad thing though is that Jay M. has the audacity to "spill the tea" when he happens to be one of those from the so-called production team who would cause a lot of mental trauma to these poor girls. I remember watching a series where the models said a lot of good things about Miss Jay, but when the host mentioned Jay Manuel, most of them had lukewarm feedbacks. He's trying to come out clean as a "good person" through his book, but clearly, he's just one of those fuels adding the fire in the show. 😓😓😓

Then she was eliminated during that panel because Tyra said her personality was gone no wonder look how she had been demoralized up until then. I mean that was the worst of the worst for me but there were countless other examples of the horrible way they treated her.
