The MrBeast stuff is wild. So I, like everyone else, am chiming in on the topic.
List break down:
CGI: who cares.
Stages certain parts of videos: who cares.
Chocolate: who cares.
Pinned comments that say to subscribe to receive something: Mixed, if it has language that implies that it is only a chance to receive prizes then its probably legally fine. The ones that state that you will get something as if its guaranteed are more questionable, but one should still never read those and actually think it to be true.
Picking people you have some relationship to: sketchy
Interfering with the contest to keep the entertainment value up: Morally wrong but it was probably in any legally binding agreements participants signed to be in the content.
Giveaways being illegal lotteries: I doubt it. There two angles that can provide clearance for MrBeast.
Targeting kids as the consumer: Having children as your target consumer is fine but the degree to which MrBeast exploits human psychology related to gambling that is already known to detrimental to even adults on to his young viewers is extremely morally wrong.
-A.K. Tyson: A pedo with mental issues. MrBeast did know about the things that where happening and basically turned a blind eye to it.
