@@bleeehhhhh She knew exactly what she was doing, she goes in and looks for her mum, when she knew where she was she got the gun and hid it behind her back. When someone is insane, they don't hide the gun behind their back. What if this was all planned between her and the stepfather? If someone is surprised and shot, do they have the presence of mind to snatch the gun from the attacker? Why didn't she shoot him three times? He couldn't get to her that quickly if he was shot. And then the shoulder shot, was it a graze shot? You couldn't see any blood from the front, it's strange that he wasn't hurt worse. The two seem very familiar with each other. Is there a life insurance policy?

Yeah, 😢 just 14 and purchased a gun. Oh wait she needs to be 18 or maybe 21 by mississippi Law. If I was on the jury. I know the evidence i want to see to convict her guilty. The gun was stolen from maybe a neighbor, and the gun was registered to Carly. Who's gun was it. If it was registered to her mom or stepfather and was left unattended and not locked in a vault or safe. The parents were extremely negligent, and the stepfather, if he was the registered owner, should be on trial for inventory manslaughter. Not Carly. Carly, in my opinion, should be in the juvenile system. One question the jury needs to ask. If there was no gun, would Carly mom be alive. If Carly is convicted of murder, who owns the gun should be too

@minimalist2036 My point exactly, now If the prosecutor really what's to prove her guilt beyond reasonable doubt. Show me that Carly broke the code or picked the lock to intentionally kill her mom. There is only one reason they wouldn't show that evidence to the jury. THEY DONT HAVE IT. IT DOESN'T EXIST. Prosecutors' key piece of evidence the gun, txt, and she invited her friend over. Without the gun, there's no murder, no trial

After reviewing the video, I realized that my initial willingness to give her the benefit of the doubt was incorrect. She came in from taking the dogs out, saw her mother getting her stash out of her room,so she immediately goes to her mother's room, took the gun, and proceeded to walk towards her mom in her bedroom, where she shot her mother three times in the face,( very personal)... She had previously told a friend that she had used three bullets on her mother and reserved three for her father. Following the initial two shots, there was a brief pause before the third shot, giving the impression that she was considering her remaining ammunition and what her plan was for those bullets....This girl came back to the kitchen heard her mom crying after she shot her, goes back in there, then returned to the kitchen gun hidden in hand behind her back, all the while her demeanor was one of calm excitement, and she promptly texted her friends to come see what she had done. My takeaway is that she had been wanting to commit this act for some time. I believe her parents were disconnected from her true nature and character. She is highly intelligent and methodical in her actions. Her stepfather described her as acting scared, which he in my opinion is mistakenly attributing it to as a psychosis episode, but it was actually her realizing he might stop her, even possibly killing her so she is freaking out due to her youth and inability to handle her actions. This girl is dangerous and has issues, but she is not innocent.

Hate to tell you that most people that have a handgun for protection have it somewhere near their bed so they can access it in a hurry. This is not a rifle. Most handguns are kept in the night table drawer, or like they had between the mattress. If your house is being broken into will you have to time to get to the gun safe, open it and retrieve the weapon?

So this can very well be planned by both who were living in the home with the REAL VICTIM. Until we know more about the relationships between all 3 I don't feel no pity for this girl. She knew exactly what she was doing, she goes in and looks for her mum, when she knew where she was she got the gun and hid it behind her back.

The issue is that this girl killed her mother!!! IMO, this girl knew exactly what she was doing. Walking around appearing calm, sits in front of camera with something behind her back, texts a friend to come over and see the crime she just committed on her own mom and sounds like from testimony that she had mental capacity for all that and then knew enough to text her step father pretending to be the mom wondering when he’d be home!! Prayers to this family. Such a tragic story 🙏🏻💕

I don't buy it - from despair to practically no emotion in under 24 hours. Chatting with her grandparents, smiling and laughing with them like she was sitting at a picnic. Her movements the day she killed her mother were very cold, very calculated - from keeping the gun behind her back to make sure the cameras wouldn't catch it and to ensure that she caught her mother completely off guard, back in the kitchen, singing, calling her friend to come over & see her mother's dead body, message to her father impersonating her mother insisting that he come straight home, gloating to her friend that she had 3 more bullets for her stepfather... And we know it wasn't due to a change in medication; even her step-father said she acted no differently when she was switched to Lexapro in addition to which, it takes 2-3 weeks to build up an effective amount of it in your system and she was only on it for a week or less. She obviously planned the whole thing out; even the idea of innocent due to insanity is ridiculous. Kids as young as 10 years old have been tried & convicted for murder, don't let her size or age fool you.

I don’t want to jump to conclusions but is it horrible to think that maybe the stepfather might have had a part in this? That text to him from her moms phone could have been a way to let him know the crime was executed and the shot to her stepdad wasn’t fatal at all (just to make it look like he was truly in danger)and he speaks to her almost on a daily basis and speaks very highly of the Defendant? I guess everyone has different ways of grief but 🤔🤔🤔

Alot people project to I notice like 1 comment if they were molested or whatever they look at everything through that light and I get it, everyone shaped by own life experiences but that's also where being biased comes from. Guy lost his wife and almost got killed by there 14 year old daughter 6 months ago, have they ever been in even close situation and had to testify in court let alone a high profile trial, I doubt it or they would be shaped by that experience. Doesn't even make sense he was involved sounds like alot blatant conspiracy theories these days some can't help it everything us a conspiracy. Why are these commentators talking about her "snapping" after the med switch? Did they miss the part about taking a knife to school and getting kicked out of that school? Weed vapes? Tattoo?
