RAWs (ARWs) "developed" in Lightroom and exported to Sony Vegas at 24 FPS. 3 hours shrunk to 21 seconds.
This is looking south east on Mt Blue Sky, 5th switch back from the top.
This time I've improved most of the settings on my camera, I got an external battery, I adjusted the star focus at home first this time, and I anchored my tripod with a strap and a ten pound weight. It was very windy up there again and it doesn't seem to have shaken the camera this time. I still don't have a wider angle lower aperture lens so I could only get it as low as ƒ/3.5
Most of it is better than last time, but there is still room for improvement next time. When I was up there, setting ISO so high looked good on the little screen but I can see now zoomed in its too grainy. I set the color temperature a bit too low at 3200°K there is still a lot of head room because temperature can go up to 2 trillion ° K.
The video has a lot of flickering. The camera was set to manual which I would think would keep the lighting consistent, but there are lots of other minute settings that set to auto even on manual. Three cars drove by behind me, that could have added a little to the flickering.
The mount for my phone for the sunrise time lapse was too flimsy and shook a lot.
Mt Blue Sky will be closed all year in 2025 for road repairs.
I'll try it again July 5th, August 4th, or maybe September 2nd on the "new moon" nights.
The music in this video is "Stargazing" by White Bat Audio.
I want to try to rotate the video keeping the galaxy centered to show the earth rotating.
