Night View from Inwangsan and the Trail to the Top
(Sunset view is stared at 08:12)
I have captured the night view from Inwangsan Mountain and the trail leading up to it. The route starts from Muakjae Skyway, passes by Skull Rock and Beom Rock, reaches the summit, and then descends to Dongnimmun Station.
Located to the west of Gyeongbokgung Palace, Inwangsan was also known as Seosan. It has been called Inwangsan since the time of King Sejong. During the Joseon Dynasty, this mountain was famous for its tigers. The mountain is also well-known for its depiction in Jeong Seon's "Inwang Jeseakdo," a representative Korean landscape painting featured in textbooks. Surrounded by residential areas, Inwangsan offers various trekking and walking trails, making it a familiar mountain with great views of Seoul.
Recently, Inwangsan has become a popular night trekking destination due to the lighting installations linked to the Seoul City Wall.
