This is not a real braking test. Or rather it was not wanted at all. In fact, I discourage anyone from trying to do brake tests if they are not necessary. ABS is not guaranteed to function optimally 100% of the time. The road surface could be compromised by dirt, paint, oil, sand or other materials. Furthermore, on the road there may be someone distracted who does not notice your sudden braking, risking being run over. In this case my driving behavior was not in keeping with the road rules. First of all, I should not have overtaken, I was beyond the allowed limits and although I kept to the left of the car I had overtaken, leaving enough space to be able to overtake me on the right, mine is still not an example of safe behavior. Despite this, I tried to keep the wheel as little as possible in contact with the white stripes on which the wheel would easily lose grip and would not allow the optimal functioning of the ABS. When performing an emergency braking, you should always avoid panicking and pressing the brake too quickly and strongly: in fact, if the front wheel is unloaded it is possible that it locks despite the ABS (even if this "anomaly" is more frequent at low speeds). Consequently, it is advisable to make a first braking attack gradually and then press vigorously on the brake while holding the handlebar firmly. It would be ideal to also use the rear brake to balance the braking as done in the video. However, be careful that braking must mainly involve the front brake as it is the one that most determines the reduction of the stopping distance. You shouldn't panic downshifting at all, but instead avoid doing it by pulling the clutch and concentrating on the front brake.
